Entrance Preview :

Choosing Christ university, Bangalore was an easy choice because it is one of the few prestigious colleges in the city that offers a collaborated course with Chartered Accountancy. The requirements for admissions was to get registered with the ICAI.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is very well planned and is in sync with the syllabus of ICAI. There are new subjects every semester which are relevant to the current world scenario. The curriculum is very interesting and helps us thing in a broad manner. It keeps us invigorating and makes us wonder a boy the corporate world.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a plethora of opportunities for internships provided by the college. The range generally starts from Rs 12000 per month up to Rs 20000 per month depending on the student and the company. Our college is known for its placements.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I know that few of my batch mates whom I do not know personally have won scholarships, but never having applied for one, I do not know of the exact procedure to be followed for applying and qualifying for the scholarship.

Hostel Facilities :

Since I personally live in a PG near by I do not know about the conditions of the hostel of the college. The average PG rent is around Rs 10000 p.m. This includes 3 time meal, wifi, washing machines, personal bathroom and generator facilities. Most of the PGs are located about 500 m from the entrance of the college.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is very strong and organise many events throughout the year. Many alumni visit to give special lectures, performances and pep talks.

Exam Structure :

Since its an autonomous college, the exam structure is very flexible. We have 2 semesters per year. With 4 major examinations and multiple submissions of assignments during the year all of which contribute to the CGPA at the end of the sem. The CGPA decides the percentage and is very important for a student.

Admission :

The admissions for the course started in December when the application forms were out. The actual process began in the month of May. There was a round of formal interview where students with top grades in 12th std were given spot admissions. For the other students the admissions list will be put out within a week where a cut off percentage will be mentioned for different courses and different categories.

Faculty :

The faculty hired by the department are top professionals of their respective fields. Many of the faculties are alumni of the same department which gives them a touch of personal feel and helps them to connect easier with the students. They are very intelligent and successful in their respective fields.
