Remarks :

I decided to pursue Diploma in Automobile Engineering due to its prominence in the said industry. As I wanted to pursue it from Jammu only, the best option was GPC, Jammu. The admission for the course was done by JKBoPEE. The minimum educational qualification is Matric from a recognized board. The admission process starts with applying online, after that an Entrance Examination is conducted by the board. Based on one's score in the entrance test and qualifying examination, the board prepares a Merit List, and accordingly, admission is done. The admission for all the government polytechnic colleges in J&K is done by BoPEE.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I joined this course as I was inclined towards technical knowledge. The faculty: student ratio was 1:35. The faculty at GPC, Jammu is quite experienced and well-versed with the technicalities of their subject. The examinations were conducted on time in a hassle-free manner by the respective departments.

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 2000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is quite nominal as it is a government institution. Even a middle-class student can easily afford to take admission to this college. However, students can also avail scholarships such as Social Welfare Department Scholarship for which they have to apply on their own.

Campus Life :

Life at GPC, Jammu is full of enthusiasm with regular field visits, seminars, events, and workshops. The college organized various job fests for the pass-out batches for placement purposes. The library on the college premises provides students with all the books they need for the course. There is a big playground also where students play various outdoor games.

Kgp very good infrastructure

Placement Experience:

After the sixth-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Government companies only visit for placements in our college. The highest package is 20lakhs, the average is 5lakhs and the lowest is 2lakhs in our college. 20 Percentage of students getting placements from our college. I want to be a civil engineer after my course.

I wanna give u info about my college

Remarks:

We just need a hostel in our college. We suffer a lot of problems as we are on a rented house. We have to cook itself. Cleaning clothes itself. So this cooking and other activities had a bad impact on studies
