Entrance Preview :

We had our own entrance exam with Maths and the other subject related to your stream, I had scored 85% followed by cracking the interview about the things which I did in my +2 college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Out of all the colleges in the city, there are few colleges which are autonomous i.e semester system for Degree, in our city we only have handful of colleges to have semester system except B.Tech. I am so glad that our college has the privilege of having it. Our academics will be divided into half for each semester and then we had to our internals, externals and lab exams based on it.

Placement Experience :

40 companies came to my college, the highest package was given by Deloitte with 4.5 L annually few other were Amazon, Unisys, Synchrony (Full time) Wipro , ADP, Wells Fargo , Cognizant, Franklin Templeton etc. Most of them offered with a base salary of 2.5 L annually. We have program to crack interview which was offered by college for free, we had special classes for aptitude, reasoning etc.

College Events :

We have a total of 16 departments in our college, every year each department need to have 1 fest compulsory based on their department, e.g Animation department would have art, photography fest. In these, departmental fests many colleges are invited to participate in the fest, so that our college students gets to compete and learn many things.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is standard. Even through out the academics, we do not have much expensive notes or text books to buy as everything is available in the library. I have graduated this year, we paid 45000 for third year, we can pay it through 2 semester's.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college does have management scholarship program which helps in which, it gives 10000 for each student, we have to pass a certain criteria like previous year attendance must be above 95+, no backlogs and no bad remarks to be eligible for the management scholarship.

Exam Structure :

As I have mentioned our college runs in sem system, Our exam pattern was divided as internals 40 and externals 60, Internals 40 includes attendance, records, mid term, pre final, seminar, viva. Pre final were conducted for 80 marks, Mid term for 50 marks. which were divided by 40% of each subject and exam. Viva, seminar, attendance records will be a total of 20, which are again divided to 40%.

Admission :

Administration was the best. At any level, I got prompt response and support to fill out the forms and how to approach to proceed further. I had to fill up 2 forms out of which one was, I had to vow to my best behaviour in the college, followed by submission of certificates and parents signature.

Faculty :

We had knowledgeable and experienced faculty, they were top-notch in the subject, they always taught us how to learn subject and not just to pass the exam or achieve good grades. They were always supportive for new suggestions to teach it a new way. Sometimes, even though we tried to fed them up with doubts they cleared them with tortoise speed, they keep on answering them and make sure we understood.

Placement Experience:

There are placements prvided by our college. They claim to give 98 percent placements but the process is a bit hard. So there are 2 exams of aptitude conducted by college before we can even get in. So after we pass both the exams we will be trained and sent for interviews.

From the 5th semester college starts campus placements training and students shouldn't have any backlogs are eligible for placements. RSM US LLP, DITTO, PwC, Deloitte, Paltech, ICICI Bank, and many more companies visited the campus. The highest package was 10LPA given by McKinley Rice Company and the average Package is 3LPA. Till now morethan 50 percent students are placed in the companies. My plan is to go for a job.

The students are eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. We have our interviews at our college. The companies that have visited have job openings for customer care and night shifts. The approximate percentage of students getting placement is 45%. My plan after my degree is to work on the business that I have started.

Remarks:

The work load can be sometimes very hectic but being in Chandigarh everything is very accessible at every hr. Food through swiggy, Zomato is very easily accessed and even a lot is open at the night. So the hostel life is unmatched to any other place.
