Entrance Preview :
As per our HSC examination we had compulsary IIT JEE examination as to enter any engineering college. The reason why i chose this examination is because we had a compulsion to give these exams and to give another reason is that we can have a direct entry into IIT. It was like a gate to be a successful engineer.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As our Institute is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur all the curriculum course is structured by the university. But according to my opinion in my field of expertise i.e. (CSE) the recent course structure is very theoritical . It is like learn the contents and write the sam in the exam. It is not a good sign to be an engineer. All we want is practical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities :
No, Our college recently does not provide any internships. But there may be chances that they do. I hope that faculty and concerned staff will look after this so that students may get a live experience about the internships.
Placement Experience :
The training & placement cell of our college are taking great efforts to invite as many companies to our college that they can so many students can be placed. Many companies visited our college as below.
College Events :
Our college organises so many events that it will take a day to explain about. May it be technical or cultural or management events all are equally a fun. The institute comprises many clubs or many technical society or commitee which take care of the events organised. The events held can be district level, college level and even national level. The cultural event that is organised by college once a year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Many scholarships of government level, university level etc are provided by college. I personally have minority scholarship offered for minority students by state government. It provides me scholarship amount of 25000/- per year. About the loan i do not know much but there may be something like loan.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio: Equal no of girls and boys. There is near to 0% ragging in college. No cases of ragging i have heard of. We also sign a Anti-ragging Act by government to ensure no one dares to comment on any other on gender, sex, race, religion etc. I have already said that many events are taken in our college and all equally take part in them.
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior students are very helpful. Instead of us going to them they personally ask us about any thing we want. All are very helpful and caring. They only give us ideas about what should we do so that we can shape bright future.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is very difficult and strict though. The labs are not that tough job making in our field. It is just like making a program type. But they are typical though. The written exams are also intermediate types means it is tough sometimes and sometimes it is chilled out.
Admission :
The admission process was held by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Maharshtra State. We just had to fill our educational details and score on their site and choose the desired college across maharashtra that we want. Then they would match up the score of individual student and assign them the desired college accordingly from their given list of colleges.
Faculty :
My faculty is very well versed about what they are teaching. They are making great efforts so that our institute becomes Autonomous. There are not many qualified faculties but each and every faculty gives his best to impart knowledge in us. Various seminars, events are taken to not only teach new things but also to teach the goal of our life.
