Remarks :
It was all online, Jac Delhi conducts the counseling, and i was allotted a seat in the first round, so to take part in the next rounds, i had to pay Rs. 103000. There were 10 rounds(spot round included). There was no physical verification of documents in 2020, although it was supposed to happen. The admission process was smooth, i could change my choices after every round, and once i got my desired branch in the college i wanted, i froze it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My branch is Engineering Physics. The course curriculum for the first year is all the same for all the students from every branch, and teachers are, well, some are great, some are not so great..... And in this online semester, DTU adopted the continuous evaluation program, in which the mid-term exams were replaced by innovative projects and presentations, and the and-term exams were replaced by class tests and surprise tests. So, it was smooth. The engineering physics branch curriculum is great, but it's a known fact that most people opt for EP just because you can sit for most of the tech giants' placements if you're in EP. Same is not the case for core branches like civil and mechanical.
Internships Opportunities :
There are a plethora of companies visiting DTU for internships, and this year, around 300 students got internships from various companies. They visit the campus at the end of the second year. The highest stipend offered this year was 2 lacs per month, by sprinkler, to 13 students. Many students also get the pre-placement offers.
Placement Experience :
By the end of the second year, students get to sit for internships, almost all large tech giants visit the campus, and in the 4th year, of course, placements happen. In 2021, the average package was 12 lacs, with a number of offers crossing 1500. The percentage of students placed varies branch-wise. It's still good enough.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There's no feel hike as such, before admission, the fee structure was released to my DTU for the next 4 years, and they follow that. We got Rs. 4000 per person assistance for internet because of this online semester, so fee hikes and stuff is not really a concern in DTU
Campus Life :
There are like 200ish student clubs/societies, many are active and do great work, some are not so much, but you get a lot of exposure by joining these and interacting with like-minded people, it's great
