Remarks :

I applied to MOP Vaishnava and was selected too. But there was no hostel on the campus. So I chose Stella Maris, which has amazing hostel facilities. I was shortlisted for merit admission and was asked to sit in an interview which was basic with questions about myself and my ambition. I was selected and was asked to submit a copy of all my certificates and was admitted.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is extraordinary with almost all the necessary topics related to commerce and accounting covered. The faculty is good at explaining though the focus is more on theory than creative assignments and projects.

Placement Experience :

The placements are really good. A lot of companies like Deloitte, Dell, McKinsey, ICICI, KPMG recruit the students. The pay scale ranges from 3 to 7 lakhs per annum depending on the company and the post. There are a lot of rounds to be cleared though, like aptitude tests, group discussions, interviews. Almost 70% of the students get placed if they opt for it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The term fees are really reasonable with around 10000 per semester. But the hostel fees of 50000, especially the mess fee is a little high of around 20000 per semester. There are a lot of scholarships available to students and food pass, bus pass and all sorts of discounts. The campus jobs are really good with a lot of companies like Deloitte, McKinsey, Dell, ICICI with packages ranging from 3 to 7 lakhs per annum.

Campus Life :

There are various clubs and I am part of the literature club and lite music club. There are around 10 activities conducted each semester in every club. Also, the department conducts many events with other departments and colleges as well, both for fun and healthy competition. There is a mediocre library which has all the books despite its ancient condition. But the department library is amazing with all the books.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is extraordinary with air-conditioned rooms of three. There is a table, cupboard, and a bed for each. There is an attached bathroom with shower and heater facilities which are really well kept. Also, we have a common refrigerator and Genset and WiFi facilities. But we have to wash our own clothes and should submit our phones by 8.30 pm. The food is quite good with different recipes every day though it becomes boring after a while. Hostel fee is high with 50000 per semester and mess fees is 22000 per semester which is exorbitant. The hostel interview is similar to the college interview where the basic questions are asked and whether we opt for ac or non-ac rooms.

Interview Experience :

I was asked to face a personal interview where all the basic questions were asked like my bio data, my marks, ambition, the reason for choosing the college and hostel. It was pretty simple and straightforward.

The frequency and timings of exams my perspective is depends upon the person studied but all staff are very motivating the students and helping for the internship. Difficulty level is you study a lot means decrease the difficulties but you not studied means increase difficulty
