I took MHT-CET examination in the year 2012 and scored 88 marks. this college was well suitable for my percentage and it is pretty decent college too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The computer course is pretty flexible and in demand. Coding comprises a huge part of this course. So if you love programming and if your eyes don’t start watering when you spend a good amount of time on the computer, you can go for it. Also involves the hardware part of the computer. One of the in-demand courses.
Internships Opportunities :
No the college doesn't provide internship, although it will help you for recommendation letter for internship outside college.
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent. If you have decent percentage followed by good aptitude skills, you most probably will get placed. TCS, LnT, Tech Mahendra, Vistar etc are the major recruiters offering salaries around Rs. 3 lac per year to Rs. 3.5 lac per year. More than 50% placements for all departments with Electronics leading.
College Events :
Nucleus is the technical festival of Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC) held in February-March. Verve is the cultural festival which is held around the same time as Nucleus. Olympus is the Sports festival. It's good but they have very less sponsorship.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees is around 1 Lakh-1.2 Lakh a year. it's mostly feasible because almost every colleges in Mumbai has same fee structure. The infrastructure is definitely not breathtaking, but is simple and decent. The campus is a bit small (way smaller than most colleges, partly due to the fact that the ground is a one minute walk from the main premises) but the quality of the classrooms and labs is quite good.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, their are scholarship facilities available for students, the minority scholarship and the economical backward class (EBC) scholarship are available in this college.
Admission :
I got this admission via the cap round process. It was on my 5th or 6th list of preferred college and was selected on the first cap round list only. As soon as i got selected, I immediately went to the administration office for confirming my admission.
Faculty :
The faculty of the computer department is pretty good. Attendance is compulsory else you will be in a big problem for sure. The professors and teachers are well educated and are helpful in nature. You only need to be sure not to mess with them, else everything is good.
