Remarks

My college's decoration is very good. For that applied. The admission of my college is based on H.S marks. At first I had to appy for addmission with submitting the H.S marksheet. When my name was listed then I took addmission with fees. There is large vacancy.

Course Curriculum Overview

Generally all the subjects excluding few rare subjects are available here. I choose this course because of my future planning. I can go for research with help of this. And I loved the course's study material and syllabus. The faculty is very well. Many teachers are here. Minimum 5 teachers in one department. And all teachers are qualified. The teachers are very good knowledgeable. They are very punctual and teaches us very carefully. In every semester there is held two college's internal examination. And end of the semester there is held a final exam when we have to go to different exam center. And practical exams are held very nicely.

Class Size: 1Course Fees: INR 2300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a admission fees for admission of this college. Per semester the fees are about ?1,000. These are admission fees for each semester. And there are another fees for examination and these are about ?500 in every semester. So cost are avarage. Financial assistances are provided to financially poor students. And college helps us to get govt scholarship.But there is no good advantage of getting job on campus. During my course I have not found so many news of getting job on campus with stipend.

Campus Life

The annual fest Batsorik Utsav is held with well decoration in January usually. There are held many others fests also. Our library is very good that I like mostly. Every kind of books are available here. And that is very large and calm, ideal for study here. And the librarians are also very well behaved. Classrooms are well decorated. Verious type of classrooms for various subjects and ways are here. projector system are available. Annual sports are held in January in our college play ground. And various campaign linke cleaning campaign,art campaign, essay writing campaign, science topic presentation campaign are held here very beautifully. Our facebook group team does many social works with help of maximum students of college.

I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Course Curriculum Overview:

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

It was good to be a part of that college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Remarks:

This college is extremely good and known for its discipline and the stress it puts on the importance of studying. Also, there are many extra curricular activities thag one can take part in, and the teachers are helpful and encourages for a better future and are also vert capable. I opted for the course because any biology related course excites me and this college has one of the best faculty for this course.

Honest opinion about Basirhat college

After completing HS if you want to study English at Basirhat college the eligibility for this course is very straight. You have to have a minimum of 50% marks in higher secondary exams. And you can come from science commerce and arts background. College does not take any entrance. The complete admission process is merit-based only. After completing HS(10+2) you have to fill up the form from the college's official website. The merit will be created based on the best of 4 subject marks you have got in HS. The average of 4 subjects plus your Madhyamik exam marks will be deciding factor. The more marks you got the higher your chance of getting admission. You have to pass the higher secondary exam with a minimum of 40% marks and you must come from the science stream with Mathematics subject. Then you are eligible for applying for this course here. No entrance exam was taken & the admission process is based on the marks you have got in your HS exam. So the higher marks you get, the higher your chance to be on the merit list. 3 years journey in Basirhat College

For the BA General course, you have to pass the West Bengal higher secondary exam with a minimum of 45% marks in class 12. Admission is based on the marks. So 45% marks will not be enough. If you want to study here you have to get a minimum of 60% marks. A lot of seats are available but a lot of students apply every year. More numbers you get in your class 12 marks more chance to appear in merit lists. If you belong to a minority like SC/ST/OBC you have some seats reserved. One more thing supposes if you take geography history & Sanskrit as a general subject you must have these subjects in class 12. The admission form is on our college website. If you want to study BA pass course here the eligibility criteria are very simple. You have to get a minimum of 70% marks in your west Bengal higher secondary final exam. And admission process is directly based on your 12 mark. If you get good marks you will get admission very easily. You can choose the subject while opting for this BA general course. In my case, I have taken Bengali, History & Sanskrit because I had good marks on those subjects in my 12th exam. The application form is completely online. The course eligibility is you have to pass the West Bengal higher secondary exam with a good percentage. We can find the application form on the Basirhat College official website. We have to fill up the application form with class 10th & 12th marks with all other necessary documents. You can choose the subject you want to take.
