Entrance Preview :

For admissions into Btech In BIT Sindri one has to give JCECE Examination. The cutoff varies every year.I gave in 2012 and got 80.75 marks and secured common merit list rank of 407. The college is old and reputed and only government engineering college in Jharkhand so i opted for it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is same as any Engineering college in India. The main aim of the institute is to cater to the needs of the nation for technological manpower development and research programs comparable to the best of the world. In first year you will have workshops which are compulsory.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes it provides internship and training in 2nd and 3rd year end in form of vocational training.Apart from that AISEC BIT Sindri provided foreign internship opportunities.

Placement Experience :

There has been a substantial decrease in placement curve from last few years.Its average not bad if you have knowledge in your core branch you Will have chances for placements in Vedanta, LNT, TATA Steel and many more.Apart from that a lot of software companies such as TCS, IBM, WIPRO, MU SIGMA, DIRECTI, TUDIP etc come for placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is the cheapest engineering college if you see return on investment. The college fees each year is very less 13000 approx with 3000 for hostel fees and 1800 electric charge and some miscellaneous. In about 80000 college fee you can complete B.tech seriously, cheapest you can get.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College provides scholarships if you are branch topper or grand topper. Besides TFW in admission is provided to economically weak students.For category students there are scholarships from jharkhand government.

Hostel Facilities :

Many new hostels have been built now as there was shortage of hostel. In 1st and 2nd year 4 students would be there in single big room. In 3rd year two would be there and in final year single room will be given to you. Mess is average, nowhere not even in NITs its good.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Admission :

After you secure a rank in JCECE, one is called for counselling in Ranchi for admission in B.tech in varies branches. The call for counselling is based on Common Merit List Rank(CML).

Faculty :

There is shortage of faculty but some are just awesome with M.tech and phd from IITs but if you courage,then you can do well because there is ample of time after issues like attendance, assignment, lab works. Faculties are supporting in relation to all matters from studies to others.

Good but not up to the level that college shows.

Placement Experience:

7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . There are many companies visited like accenture - 300000, cognizant- 250000, wipro- 300000, tcs- 200000 Accenture - 300000 per annum. 20 % of students getting placements in the class size of 120. My palns after getting a degree is to become a web developer, frontend.

Placement Experience:

This year's placement was almost 95%, which is quite good. The top recruiters are JSW, Vedanta, Tata Motors and many more. Most students are places in JSW with a 9.6 LPA. The highest package this year was something around 14 LPA. And average was almost 9.6 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.
