Entrance Preview :

The score from my TN-HSC is the considered for the admission. I entered RMK Engineering college through TNEA-2013 Counselling held at Anna University with a engineering cut off: 195.25.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum can be assessed by the catalogue issued by Anna University. The students are given with the choice of selecting the course. The courses are designed in a way that focused towards the research. The course structure is designed in a way that it comes from Basic to moderate to expert level in various topics and course.

Internships Opportunities :

The college doesn't provide ant remarkable internships but the placements are good. The industrial visits are conducted within a day. The college provides the theoretical knowledge rather than providing the practical knowledge.

Placement Experience :

The placements are good in our college, the placements in our college are about 80%. But only IT companies arrives to the college, it will be good if they bring the core companies in the placements. The college doesn't provide ant remarkable internships but the placements are good. The industrial visits are conducted within a day. The college provides the theoretical knowledge rather than providing the practical knowledge.

College Events :

Apart from the college day and symposium, no events are celebrated in the college. They have to improve lot in those areas to improve the extra curricular activities in each and every students. Even the college day is celebrated very badly, there is no fun events present during college days. Really such a bad college in terms of the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The college fees-40000 is fine for the students who came through merit( Through counselling). For the management students,625000 it's too expensive. The hostel and study material fee is too expensive. The fees comes around 100000. College offers good facility in terms of scholarship and loan facility.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, College offers good facility in terms of scholarship and loan facility. Particularly for the students who are first graduate from the family are offered with scholarship in the college fees every year.

Exam Structure :

In a semester, the internal exams are conducted twice and model exam is held before the semester exams. The model practical exams are also conducted before the semester exams. The students are trained in a good way to take the exams. The college provides the theoretical knowledge rather than providing the practical knowledge.

The course curriculum was comprehensive and we have an option to choose free electives from other departments too. We would have 2 quizzes and one end semester exam in a semester and meanwhile assignments will be shared at regular intervals of time.

Good and low fees

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The highest salary package is 12lpa and the average salary package is 6lpa.80 percentage of students are getting placements in our college. I want to do a master's and I want to work on my course.
