Peep in SVCE.

Remarks :

The admission process was very smooth. The faculties made sure to provide proper explanations about academics, placements, hostel facilities. A good amount of transparency was maintained. The staff made sure to make me visit each corner of the college. The process of admission application was simple.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is updated as per the new industry requirements. I chose to enroll in Computer Science and Engineering based on my personal interest and quest for learning new software technologies. Faculties are student-friendly to inculcate in each individual the vision of SVCE. Discipline is maintained by authorities in a strict way. Faculties are well qualified and trained on their subjects. Teaching methods include interactive participation of students by indulging them in presentations, projects, and various workshops. Term exams were always on time, even amidst covid19 term exam was conducted well.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like Cognitree provided paid internships. There were companies that provided unpaid internships like Nano Robotics and embedded Technologies, etc. Projects included hardware as well as software domain. I have interned in the software domain with the Spring framework.

Placement Experience :

Placements begin from the end of the 6th semester, with specific eligibility criteria. A lot of companies visited campuses such as Vtiger, Jaro, Maventic, Quinnox, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, HP, Cognizant, Amazon, and more. Various profiles offered are given like developer, software engineer, project engineer, Compliance associate, sales and marketing, etc. Placements are pretty good. My plan is to go for an campus placement job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships such as Karnatak e pass. I could not avail it as I was not an acquaintance of Karnataka. I got an opportunity to intern at Cognitree with a stipend of 10,000 per month. There were various on-campus drives. I got selected in Vtiger, Squareyards, Wipro, and more. I selected Wipro and am a part of it.

Campus Life :

There were a lot of fests I have been a part of like Kalavaibhava(annual fest), Udyukta(technical fest), Shrusti(Cultural fest). Each fest has a strong impact on framing my personality. Almost all the books are updated in the library. We even have the facility to issue books for the whole term and return them back by the end of the exam. Classrooms and the campus are very clean and peaceful, atmosphere absolutely adds pleasure to be a part of the SVCE family. Sports days are conducted annually with a variety of sports activities and attractive rewards. I even got a chance to volunteer for the All India Hackathon for consecutively 3 years. svce_official is the page on Instagram and Facebook.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are provided with well-built cupboards, a table chair, a mirror, and other essentials. Hygiene is maintained. Being from the north it has been a bit difficult for me to adjust to south food, but the hostel canteen made it simpler. A lot of varieties of food are cooked keeping in mind the diversity amongst the students. As the Girl's hostel is within the campus which adds to its well-maintained security, it's a plus point to be in the hostel. The registration process involves clearing the payment and allotment of rooms. Hostelites even are welcomed with a freshers celebration and bid goodbye with a heavy-hearted farewell. It has been remarkable to be a part of the SVCE Girls Hostel.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to get placements from their 6th to 7th semester as whatever basic is needed by them to a company is embedded into them. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and many other companies visit our college and make many offers. The highest package in my course was 47 L.P.A previous year and average is 7 to 8 L.P.A. Almost all students get placed in our branch almost every year. I just wanna do a start-up after completion of my course and getting my degree.
