Remarks :
I had given entrance for Fergusson I was selected but Symbiosis was an ideal college for me as it was near to my house and one of the top-ranked colleges of Pune. No there was no quota for the General category. The admission process was done in three parts according to the cut-off percentage which was provided there. Fill the admission form, keep visiting the website and you will get a confirmation email that you are qualified. Be ready with the document, it might become hectic as the network wasn't good there so only online payment was received in the admission portal by filling your form entirely by yourself in the IT department. It can take upto 2-7 days.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Masters's in English. Most classes were full of girls student, 40 girls, and 10 boys. Teachers are way too professional and some of them are so strict. But yeah they teach so well. Clearing all doubts. Exams were here in time but due to the pandemic it delayed a bit, classes were conducted on Microsoft Teams, they made our account providing our email and there was recorded lectures already in case if you missed.
Internships Opportunities :
There weren't internship offers for MA English students. Yet the teachers and professors keep updating you about random, courses and internship programs on WhatsApp group or in class. So there isn't much scope for MA English, Economics and other Psychology departments to have this privilege.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
35,700 and the same for the second year. But yes there is some hike in fees in this current year. There is no placement cell for MA English. But they held Theatre performances, all under the guidance of professors and students who participated in them. They call famous faces as a guest one was the actor of Sacred Games.
Campus Life :
There is no space on campus like there is no playground because it is the oldest building of Symbiosis so their other facilities share the same small campus and canteen. But yeah just a few steps away from college there are some spots where you can hang out. The hostel is there on campus. The library is so nice and almost all kinds of books are available there. In that limited space fests and other cultural activities take place, like Traditional day, Ethnic day where you can wear your traditional outfit of your state. There is an auditorium in Symbiosis Vishwabhawan where such kinds of functions, dandiya nights are organized. It was the overall jubilant experience of Symbiosis, just like its name it teaches us to live in harmony with different cultures, ethnicity in one place. There are a lot of foreign students as well. So the best part was people from all other states come and become a part of your class and ended up being the best kind of family in these 2 years.
