Great experience.

Remarks :

College was good placements could have been better stronger alumni network.

Entrance Preview :

CAT 2010, 78.06 %ile college offered great infrastructure, residential campus and credit based pedagogy.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is good. It is credit based. 3 credits equals 20 session paper. You can choose what you wish to study. First year they are all streamlined and cover all important domains. I could major in Marketing and also study HR thanks to the credit system. Room to improve industry interaction.

Internships Opportunities :

Few companies were lined up that offered internships. But for a batch size of 180 maylny had to fend for themselves.

Placement Experience :

About 25 companies came hiring approximately 125 to 150 of the candidates. Packages kn the range of 3.5 to 8 lakhs per annum were handed out in the 2013 batch . Infosys. TCS. SPI. Berger. Wipro. ICICI. Ujjivan Financial Services. Cafe Coffee Day. Fredeunberg. Essilor.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Expensive. 7.3 lakhs tutiom fees plus 40000 per year for hostel. That year this included one education trip abroad. Which was coveres in the fees. Some books were later charged a section of amount. Hostel single room accomodation with one bed. One cupboard and one table. LAN connected. Mess fees per month were 2500 rs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Educational loan from SBI college offered student exchange programmes for one term with Texas A&M university and Shanghai university. That charges were additional supposedly. No other scholarship or loan. Students who topped every term got heavy cash prizes in tune of 30 to 40 thousand per term.

Campus Life :

Campus Life was the best as the residential campus was no less than a resort. In the 2011 2013 batch. 130 boys, 50 girls. People from 23 States were studing. Sports was very much included with competitions like SDM Premier League (Modelled on IPL inckuding player auctions) and SDM Soccer League. Badminton, TT, Basketball, Voleyball. Etc took place. Very open and diverse. Economic status for 50% was higher middle classe and above.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel was the best. Single rooms and with a bathoom ratio of one per five people. The building architecture was fantastic. Very open and cool. The rooms included wooden beds, wooden cupboard and a desk with LAN connectivity throughout campus. Mess food was ok additional facilities like Gym, indoor badminton court, table tennis, outdoor basketball court were also available.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni Network is the worst needs revamp as college is unable to bring them in for placements. No proper forum to interact and stay in touch. Seniors for the time in college were helpful. Later contact has subsided and relations continued as alumni only. Need to have a strong base and platform.

Admission :

Form was procured online and submitted via courier. There was only One round of interview in Mumbai for those who chose this location. Interview was taken by couple of professors. Post which there was a shortlist. There was no aptitude as such during this interaction.

Faculty :

Exceptional at that time. Expert and Knowledgeable professors back then. However, some were not that good. Most learning happened by self interacting with peers. Some were open to feedback while some were reserved. Some put too much emphasis on writing exams while mid terms and end terms accounted for 50% marks only.

Companies like Deloitte,PWC,EY,KPMG,Broadride,Storeking, trivago,My Captain,Indusland Bank, HDFC bank,Factset, Genpact,Cadbury,Manipal Hospitals and many more companies come for placement. The highest package in my opinion may be around 8.4 lpa and average would be around 5 lpa. The profile offered were mostly Finance analyst, Tax Consultant and marketing. Idk the exact percentage but mostly everyone gets a placement. I would join Deloitte after I receive my offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum from the university is transferred by the teachers in a digestive manner with all relevant example , live scenarios, case study activities and much more. The exams on average come after 3 months of a semester commencing , the difficulty towards the exam itself is moderate.

Placement Experience:

Placement Cell is very hardworking and they do provide placement support for all specializations but most of the jobs that are offered are marketing or customer support roles so it's always encouraged to look for job opportunities through other sources as well.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are excellent in Indus Business Academy. Alot of good companies come to the college for the placement and almost all the student get placed in a good company. iIf the student has payed attention in the classes and the tasks assigned then getting into a company is not difficult. The students start getting placed soon after the completion of first year. Compainies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Colgate, Bata , GT and other good companies come to the college every year for the placements every year. The average package offered by the companies is 6.5 CGPA and it may increase this year. The student placement is 100%. I have also been selected in Deloitte for tax profile.
