Remarks :

I am studying Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology - Dhanbad. The admission process of this college is exactly similar to that of other IITs. You have to clear IIT-JEE Advanced and then apply for JOSSA counselling. The college provides us with all resources to excel in academics and extracurricular activities. The student-professor interaction is not that great but it depends on individuals. The Administration of the college is very strict. They have various scholarship programs for meritious students that are based on grades. The placement cell is very good and for every student, many students get placed at a very high pay package. The college provides all the opportunities associated with your interest as there are many tech clubs and cultural clubs in which one can develop his/her personality.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty members are very good. They have lots of knowledge and they want to share with fellow students. I chose Electrical Engineering because its full of opportunities and find this domain very interesting. The college test with many quizes and Final exams which are good.

Class Size : 254Course Fees : INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many opportunities for internship in college. The students can apply for on-campus and off-campus also if he/she has relevant skills. Various companies come to college in the 3rd year of undergrad students.

Placement Experience :

The placement of our college is very great. Many students are placed at a very pay package. The average package of college varies with departments or branches. For the electrical department, the average package of last year was 17 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are various scholarships in college and meritious students get upto full fee waiver also. One can apply for them before the registration of the semester on yearly basis. I also got a scholarship of full fee waiver.

Campus Life :

The campus life is very good. One can enjoy the time being with friends, making new friends and it's wonderful. There are various sports activities and extracurricular activities one can take like art, editing, software development and many others.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is very good. The newcomers are alloted room in jasper hostel which is very good. The registration process is very easy for that we just have to register online and pay the fee and then we are alloted a room.

Good but not up to the level that college shows.

Placement Experience:

7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . There are many companies visited like accenture - 300000, cognizant- 250000, wipro- 300000, tcs- 200000 Accenture - 300000 per annum. 20 % of students getting placements in the class size of 120. My palns after getting a degree is to become a web developer, frontend.

This year's placement was almost 95%, which is quite good. The top recruiters are JSW, Vedanta, Tata Motors and many more. Most students are places in JSW with a 9.6 LPA. The highest package this year was something around 14 LPA. And average was almost 9.6 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.
