PROVIDENCIAL PERSPECTIVE.

Remarks :

I apply for the College of Engineering at Chenganoor and Adoor.I left Adoor college due to lack of transportation and hostel facilities and left Chengannoor college as I only got admission there for Electrical and Communication Engineering. The minimum percentage to apply for the Engineering program is 60% in PCM and the age is not fixed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this college as it is near to me and also the experienced shared by the passed out students. Also, I was impressed with the college infrastructure and surroundings. The faculties are extremely supportive and teach very well with the faculty: student ratio of 1:10. All the faculties have experience of over 10 years along with witha Doctorate. They share us with the maximum effort which is very effective to each student and have a caring mentality. Term exams are conducted after every 3 modules and it is of medium level including the questions testing IQ levels.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like Linways, IEEE communion, TCS offers internships within the college with a medium stipend among the students. The projects include low-cost oxygen cylinders, river recycling methods, and so on with the support of the faculties.

Placement Experience :

Students from the 7th semester are eligible for campus placement and others are given proper guidance for the same. The placements from linways, college institutions, TCS are given with a large number of other companies visiting offered the highest package of 5.5LPA. About 50% of the students are placed within the college campus with varying salary packages. I would like to take the master's in Computer Science after my degree graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The college has an annual fee structure of one lakh rupees for management quota and ninety-five thousand rupees for merit quota which varies among the students. According to the branch from the Head of the Department and for the best outgoing students, scholarships are provided according to the branch from the Head of the Department. Financial assistance is given to the backward caste students. The college conducts ambassador programs to develop the leadership qualities of students and the best is awarded a cash prize.

Campus Life :

The annual fest is named Resam and tech fest as Corona in the college along with other cultural fests with different names annually. The college has a vast library facility occupying the whole compartment of a building with all the academic and overall general books. The classroom is a wide smart class that can include upto 70 students with a proper ventilation system. Sports and cultural activities are held annually with varying programs and the student participation is also amazing. The clubs for the talent show, internship, research and development etc are held branch wise and also social groups like NSS are actively following.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very old and must be improved to be on par with the ever expanding new technologies. I took this course, since I have a passion in programming. But there are various subjects which are minimal to no - relevant towards my department, which is IT. Chemistry, Chemistry Lab, Physics, Physics lab, Maths ( even though some parts of maths and physics is needed, it can be joined with the other programming subjects so that only things that are specifically necessary are being teached and both, being a seperate subject is unnecessary ), Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical, Civil, Mech Lab, Civil Lab, and all other non-credit subjects ( if there is no credit, why studying ? ). And can include more subjects revolving around various programming languages such as, C++, C#, Kotlin, React, etc.

I really love automobiles, that was the main reason behind my decision to opt for mechanical engineering. Most of the aspects about machines and engis where covered as part of the subject. One who want to learn more about a subject has the opportunity to opt for minor in that subject.

Placements are offered here but for now its really bad. College have a placement cell. Usually a lot of company used to come and take 100s of graduates. This year hits different. Placements were really bad this year. Avg package provided is also low. RS 5.5LPA was the highest and 4 LPA is the avg salary for placed students.
