Remarks :

I chose this university because it is a bit cheaper when compared with other MBA colleges. The college is UGC approved and it was awarded third position in terms of education as a newly emerged university across India. The admission process is based on merit with a minimum percentage of 55% in class 10+2 and in 50% in graduation. The forms were available in the online college portal and I had to pay rs 1000 for it as an application fee. I did have a personal interview as well, in it I was asked about why i wanted to study further and what were my plans after finishing my MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course consisted of topics like accounting and finance, business administration and many other topics too were covered. It was conducted in the smart class which consisted of presentations, assignments, followed by internal semester and then finally external. The faculty provided with all kinds of assistance needed and topics were discussed again if there was any problem in understanding. We also had weekly vivas and class tests, which helped

Placement Experience :

Placement assistance is provided by the college placement cell, with recruiters like TATA group, Reliance group and Godrej group visiting the campus for placement. In my batch a total number of 15 companies had visited my campus, which included start up companies as well. The average pay starts from 3.5 lakhs pa and can go upto 30 lakhs p.a depending upon company to company. Although the placement rate is said to be 100% according to the uni, but to be honset it is about 80%, as many students like me decide not to opt for the placement. I also did not opt for any placement and i moved to Mumbai and started working as an event manager for Taj hotels. The package i received was Rs 4,00,000 p.a.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is based on semester wise. There are no fees hike in between and no on campus jobs are available as well. My course was a two year program in which i paid 1.8 lakhs. The fees were to be paid on an installment basis. There are scholarships available but I was not eligible for it, due to it being merit based and i am an average student. scholarships are availabe from 15-80% fee waive off. It also is based on excelling in sports or student's background belonging to army or police. There are need based scholarships available as well. For this, the students need to submit their family's income certificate and also should have a good merit with no back papers.

Campus Life :

There is diversity in the campus. It organises annual seminars and lectures by prominent guest lecturers. It also hosts fresher welcome events including teachers day. The college also celebrates cultural events to promote diversity in the campus. The campus also has basketball courts, a football and a cricket field, including audiotirum rooms for lectures and seminars to be conducted. It also has various clubs like trekking club, which i was a part of it and we used to have a yealry trek. There are many other lubs as well like the ecological club, cycling and fitness club, creativity club and so on. The main motive of these clubs is to help us develop better and also relive the peer presure of our studies.

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Remarks:

I love my college as the way it is, wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

Admission:

I was earlier classed into the pool of NRI students as I had completed my 10th and 12th graduation from abroad. I however did not want to register as an NRI student and wrote the MH-CET which is the state entrance exam and the field under which I chose it was engineering. I managed to attain a good rank and get admission into my required branch and field at Symbiosis Institute of Technology. I attempted the MH-CET exam some time around the beginning of May. I chose the course of Electronics and Telecommunication as it particularly interested me and the main interest in Symbiosis was generated through the fact that one of my cousins had studied there and overall I had heard a lot about Symbiosis especially in the Pune circle. The steps required in this process were i) Application through the Symbiosis Admission Portal ii) Attachment of all relevant documents for verification iii) A counselling session in which all the ranked candidates where invited and offered seats iv) A final verification and admission confirmation
