Remarks :
NITIE takes only engineers. The admission process consists of a GD process and then a PI. It was a short process and held on the campus in 2018. GD went for around 5-8 mins and the PI was also short. It took around 7-8 mins.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college as it is in the top 15 colleges. The class size is around 90. Most of the focus is around supply chain and operations but IT is also one of the major subject here. Faculties are well equipped with the knowledge & are capable to help students become corporate ready.
Internships Opportunities :
NITIE provided 100% internship to all the students with a good stipend. Most of the students get supply chain & consulting opportunities. The average student for 2 months was 1.5+ Lakhs. It was a good experience.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible in the final year for the placements. The average package is 20+ LPA. Companies that visited the campus are Amazon, PWC, Deloitte, Mckinsey etc. The highest package was 45 LPA. 100% of students got placed out of the college.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Fees were around 8 Lakhs for 2 years course. Although it has not hiked to 14 Lakhs for 2 years. The internship average stipend was more than 1 Lakh and Job Placement is more than 20LPA. Major roles offered was Supply chain, operations, consulting and IT.
Campus Life :
The campus of NITIE is called Gods own campus. Although it is a small campus of around 167 acres it is lush green. It also has a pond in itself which gives a soothing experience to the students. Hostel for girls and boys are different and they are not allowed to go into other hostels.
Hostel Facilities :
The boy's hostel name is Taylor hall. It is a 16 storey building with around 25 rooms on every floor. It is a two seater room with no AC only fan availability. The meal provided by the college is of good quality and satisfying.
Interview Experience :
The Group discussion topic was "Work from home scenario: pros & cons". Interview questions revolved around my previous experience as I had 4 years of IT experience. The interview was a short and sweet process that wrapped up in around 7-8 minutes.
