Remarks :
The university campus is great. Lectures are delivered with commendable regularity. As I am studying from online mode so the software used by them is good but not totally error-free. Scholarships are good. But university demands strict and timely payment. Management is not that approachable and certain things are mishandled. Teachers are nice and available for doubts. Moving to admission the criteria is that student must have above 60% in 10 and 12. Dates can be seen from their sites. Scholarships include 3 ways: 1) 12 class marks based. 2) JEE Main score for engg. 3) CUCET exam based. I chose this college as it had a good growing graph in terms of performance in last years. It had a prime location near Chandigarh. I got a 50% scholarship. The admission process was quite easy. It was rated well by UGC NAAC A+. I saw many opportunities with the college. You can join this college if you are economically good and want great opportunities in life.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My motive is joining defence forces or a government job but also wanted to get each and every exposure and also I had an interest in electronics also it is a core as well as technical mixed branch so it is good that's why I choose ECE branch. 1:30 is the faculty-student ratio not too sure but it must be near to this only. Faculties are qualified in their fields most of them are young i.e not have much experience but most of them are PhDs in their fields. Exams are held on great regularity and under supervision If you have put in efforts it will not be that difficult to pass but yes if you pick up the book on the last day you will surely flunk.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, they do offer internships but I have not applied for any till now as I am in 1st year only and I do not know much about the projects etc but yes there is a lot of help in making your patient ideas and getting it done with university support and guidance.
Placement Experience :
Not yet sat for the placements. From 7th semester eligible to sir for placement. Google Microsoft oracle Amazon Wipro etc are some great companies offering campus placement. The highest package this year was 16 lakh per annum and the average package is around 4 to 5 lakh per annum. I have heard Almost all students get placed but not sure about it. I want to explore for now and try my luck in forces after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
80,000 per sem is the fee for the BTech course and the full course of 4 yrs may cost you 8*80,000=6,40,000. That is a bit costly. But there are opportunities for scholarships and loan. 3 scholarships are given out of which one can be availed 12 marks based. If 90% above marks then 50% scholarship, 80% above marks then 30%, and so on goes till 10%. Similarly on the basis of JEE Main score. Also, a scholarship exam CUCET is there. You can apply for different loan facilities also to pay your fees. As I have not sat for the campus placement till now I do not have the experience of a job on campus but it is heard that it is good.
Campus Life :
We have not yet gone to the campus due to Covod 19 but yes there are a lot of fests, sports and extracurricular activities. Many social groups, clubs, website etc are for the students and run by students. There is a very big library. But I have not yet gone to the campus so cannot tell you in-depth.
Hostel Facilities :
Not yet went physically to the hostels due to Covid so can't say anything about it. The registration process is easy but it is too costly for me. But then too it is manageable as they promise to provide many facilities like all day free wifi and gym etc.
