Remarks :
Medi-caps University ranks among the top 5 Engineering colleges of Indore after IIT INDORE, SGSITS and IET DAVV. Pedagogy is the greatest plus point of this college. All the teachers are highly qualified and highly educated. Many of the faculties have multiple research papers on their name and a good number of faculties holds PhDs. Discipline and attendance is of utmost importance here NO MATTER WHAT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Like every other pvt engineering college of our country Medi-caps too have a traditional curriculum although they are trying to upgrade it to make it par with Tier-1 colleges since they got autonomy. There is an abundance of faculty in almost every branch and every course(subject), Student teacher ratio 1:50. Teachers are highly qualified no doubt with a number of research paper & Journal publications on their name with very good behaviour and communication. One thing I assure everyone is that you won't need any external coaching literally for any course(subject). However, like every institute, there are someone or two arrogant faculty who by the way are qualified from IIT but unfortunately DO NOT know how to impart & transfer knowledge. Just because that one or two faculties I am giving 8/10 else it would have been 10/10. Almost every kind of lab is present however they need constant maintenance. Guest lectures & seminars are also being organised. You need to study hard to pass exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides in house (in campus) internships those who do not want to be part of it has to find their own internship outside campus, Internship is mandatory during every year break which is of 2+ months. There are a number of companies that provide internship opportunities for medicaps student like Robotronix engg pvt ltd, bitbyte situated in IT park 2, Indore. The student also goes to IIT & IIM for internship under scholars. You can also learn technical language to cover up an internship.
Placement Experience :
As soon as the 7th sem starts Placement drive starts on campus. My batch containing a total of 1100 students out of which branches like CS, IT, EC, EE, were 90 % placed whereas other branches placement was close to 70%-60% that too not in core fields but IT industry. The placement committee works really hard to bring the number of companies to the campus. The highest package offered was 10-12 lakhs whereas the average package stands somewhere between 3.5 - 4 lakhs when we had 1100 students total but now batch starting 2020 has 700+ students in the CS branch alone. The companies who visit campus are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, MindTree, cognizant, Capgemini, impetus, infobeans, digivalet, dequode, gamastack, mphasis, zansar, IBM (for girls only), byjus and many more. TCS alone takes 40 % of the batch during our placement drive. You have to work hard for placements no one will spoon feed it to you unless you are good in aptitude & logical reasoning with an upper hand in self-confidence.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
When I got admission in the year 2016 , the fees was 79,000 per year. Now it has been increased to 1,20,000 per year which I personally think is unreasonable when we look at the facilities & infrastructure. The college does provide the govt scholarship for OBCs and religious minorities which is 25000 per semester. No other kind of financial assistance , remuneration , project funding , research funding is provided by Medi-caps.
Campus Life :
The management has scrapped Dandiya Night, DJ Night & Star night altogether which means they have sucked the fun out of the annual fest now there is no moon in Moonstone only stone is left, pretty much nothing to enjoy absolutely nothing throughout the course no village visit no technical tour nothing, nothing at all. My most favourite place in the college was the central library it is a huge multi storey building can be seen on brochure containing thousands of books for course & Stream and the best part they have hundreds & hundreds of fiction & non-fiction novels, autobiographies in a separate area inside the building with a reading area with Garden view windows. You can issue 6 books at a time for 14 days without a fine after that you have to pay a fine of 5 rs per day per book. Classrooms in old buildings are not in good condition whereas new building has really good classrooms with good infrastructure like AC, Digital board. There are clubs like NSS, photography, cultural, literary, higher study
