Remarks :

MDI Murshidabad is a college that gives the student a peaceful environment to groom the student for being a good manager and makes them industry-ready. It gives a good return on investment to students and provides them quality education at affordable pricing. The admission process began after the CAT exam and on the basis of the CAT results I got a call for GDPI. The GDPI process was held in the 1st week of Feb'20 and the final result came on the 1st week of March. The main reason to choose MDI-M over others was the great ROI and dual specialization programme that gives an edge over other candidates. I got the information from my coaching institute from where I did my preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very student-friendly and helps the student to learn the concepts and skill up students' managerial skills. Also, it gives students great opportunities to learn from experts and enhance their knowledge. That's why I choose this course. To talk about the faculty-student ratio. It is fair enough. For 135 students of our batch, we have around 20 faculties that give an appropriate ratio of faculty-student. Most of the teachers are PHDs and have MBAs from reputed universities around the nation. Their teaching focuses mainly on current market trends and is more practically driven. Each year has 3 trimesters and in every trimester there is one mid-term and one end term. So the exam is quite often and exam level is between moderate to hard.

Internships Opportunities :

Most companies come for roles like Sales, Bussiness Development, Digital Marketing, Market Research, Consultancy, Bussiness Analytics, HR, Financial analysis, and many more. Top recruiters are like JSW, Airtel, Moodys, Jio Creative Labs, GKB optical, Emami, and many more.

Placement Experience :

Students can appear for final placements from trimesters 5 and for SIPs from trimesters 2. Companies that visit for finals including ICICI, SBI, Tech Mahindra, Aditya Birla, Collegeduniya, KPMG, PWC, etc., and for SIPs like Airtel, JSW, Moodys, Emami, SkillLens, JCL, etc. The final placement report is not out yet and is still under process. Most all get placed in SIPs and Finals. I want to pursue my career in the marketing domain.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Fees for our batch 2020-20222 is around 11.5 lakhs for two years. Students can avail loans from banks too. SBI is the banking partner of MDI-M. Also, loans can be available from financial service providers. However, there is no such Scholarship programme in MDI-M. There are however good SIPs and final placement reports that assure students money in a safe hand.

Campus Life :

I haven't gone to campus yet so no reviews can be added. However, as much as I heard from Seniors the campus life is good and good to live. The library has plenty of books to read, Classroom is full air-conditioned furnished gives positive atmosphere to students.

Hostel Facilities :

I haven't visited college yet so no idea how is college facility. However, as per seniors college has a good hostel facility. Every student gets individual rooms having attached balconies. Washrooms are well maintained and Cleanliness is the priority of the college administration.

Interview Experience :

My topic of GD was From Data to Oil where India stands in Global politics. It was a healthy GD that was conducted smoothly and gave equal opportunities to everyone. If I talk about PIs then my PI was more academic driven as I was fresher at that time. They ask about my graduation subjects and a few generic question about me. After GDPI, they select a candidate on the basis of academic results, CAT score, and GDPI marks. I saw several videos and appeared at demo GDPI sessions.

Placement Experience:

Laterals placements are chiefly meant for candidates with more extensive work experience. Candidates with more than 10 months of work experience only are eligible for the Lateral Recruitment process. Lateral Placements at IIMs start a month or two before the final placements. The candidates selected by the companies for Lateral placement are offered senior and middle-management positions. During the final placements process, students are recruited for permanent, full-time positions with various firms and all students are allowed to apply, regardless of whether they have prior work experience or not. The final placement process takes place in the month of March every year, at the end of the 2-year course The final placement process mirrors the summer placement process in that it is also conducted in a day format, in which firms are invited on campus on a particular day on which the firms can choose candidates.

Admission:

The admission process is very simple. I just online inquiry for the course and the process for admission. And in the time of admission I visited our college for admission. No entrance exam is conducted for admission.

Placement Experience:

As my course is a diploma course, so we did not get a chance to appear in the college campus interview. Job opportunities are not available in our course. Only based on our course, we got jobs after completing the course.
