Remarks
I chose the college because it is a good college and is in my vicinity as per the flight routes. Also, I have a senior who was in this college 2 years back so he also guided me to chose this college out of some others. The college campus is quite good and big. The college buildings are largely full of greenery. The attached hospital is also large with a high patient influx. The admission progress is quite simple you have just to register on the MCC website and select the colleges you want and then they will allow you one according to your all India rank. Go to that college on the allowed date to take admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because no one from my family was in this field and this lack ness haunts me sometimes. Also since my childhood, I was very fond of wearing a white apron and serving the needy and poor. The student faculty ratio is around 10:1 which is quite a good ratio. The teachers at the college are quite qualified and have a great knowledge of the subject and experienced in their skills. Almost everyone here uses PowerPoint methods to teach the students because it is easier for students to learn by visualising.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college provides rotatory internship which means medical graduates have to do an internship in every department of the MBBS curriculum to learn skills and treatment methods. During the internship, the college provides a stipend which is around Rs 25000 in my college and this stipend money various from State to state and college to college. One can also do an internship from some other medical college but have to bear a loss of stipend money.
Placement Experience
There is no such word as placement in the Medical line. The medical graduates directly apply for jobs in medical colleges, hospitals both government and private and based on vacant they get the job. Almost each and everyone graduating from my college get a job from the reputed hospitals across the nation. Their average salary varies from RS 75000 to Rs 90000 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college academic fee per annum is RS 1200000 and the hostel charge for a double bedded hostel with attached washroom is RS 110000 and the charges for the mess food is RS 35000 per annum summing up to a total of Rs 1345000 per annum. There is no hike policy in the fees at the college. One has to pay RS 1345000 per annum for the whole 4.5 year duration. The college provides scholarship to the top 3 rankers of the academic batch.
Campus Life
The college conducts several fests, seminars, sports activities at the college campus. One notable among them is Kritarth. Also, the college conducts multiple sports events one of them is KPL which is a cricket premier league involving multiple batches of students. The library provides books, standard books as well as reference books for all the subjects and also have a large number of journals and medical articles. All the classrooms are fully air conditioned smart classrooms.
Hostel Facilities
Boys and girls have separate hostels and each hostel are divided into blocks for the sake of convenience. There are around 6 hostels for boys and girls in total. Each hostel room is a double bedded air-conditioned room with an attached bathroom. Also, each room has a wardrobe and a reading table and chair for each student. The meal quality of mess food is not that good and you can expect the taste of homemade food from a mess food. The registration process is simple. You just need to choose a hostel at the time of admission.
