Remarks :

Jorhat Engineering College aka JEC is the 2nd oldest state government Engineering college in Assam. The college boasts of a congenial atmosphere for academic excellence, co-curricular activities and personal development. The campus is really peaceful and clean. The teachers are really friendly and understanding. Labs are pretty decent. The college provides you with a really good scope for your future. Campus placements are also present (be it PSUs or private companies). And according to past records, the college has been a spawning ground for illustrators engineers who have reached the highest positions in their respective domains.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Almost all our classes are taken by PhD holders who are really efficient in their teaching and best in their respective fields. We have semester exams every 6 months. In between which we have three continuous internal evaluation exams /sem and small class tests.

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 12000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes. JEC provides internship opportunities. Frankly speaking, I haven't taken part in an internship program to date so I can't say much about it. But as I have heard from the seniors the internships are really educational and well paid.

Placement Experience :

Almost 40% of students get placed in well paid companies from campus placements. Both PSUs and other well known private companies come for campus placements. Students are mostly eligible for placements after the 6th semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are pretty affordable for a decently earning middle class family as it's a government college. Campus placements are available be it in reputed PSUs or good private companies. Student Scholarship is also available on the basis of merit.

Campus Life :

The campus life at JEC is really peaceful. There are many social groups and clubs for students run by students for various activities like arts and crafts, singing, dancing, photography, coding, robotics, etc. Plenty of informative and important course related books are present in the college library. The annual and tech fest PHOENIX is really famous and well enjoyed by the student body and famous performers from outside are also invited.

Hostel Facilities :

Facilities provided: Bed. Personal wardrobe/alna. 24/7 running water. 24/7 free internet. Clean bathrooms and washrooms. Decent quality food for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. 24/7 security. Hostel admission is done on a merit basis. Hostels are present on campus and are pretty hygienic and well maintained.

Hostel Fee : INR 12000 per year

Interview Experience :

In order to get admission in JEC, you have to appear and pass with good marks in the Assam CEE examination. After scoring decent marks in the Assam CEE examination you have to register in Directorate Of Technical Education (Assam) / dte Assam. Through which your counselling will be done according to your provided college and branch choices and ur CEE marks and rank. After that, you have to go for your documents physical verification in your allotted college.

Btech is the best course for engineer's. The curriculum prepares us well for real world applications or further academic pursuits. Cse branch is the best branch for improvement in the course . The frequency and timing of exams are 3 hours in end term exams.

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester onwards. A lot of reputed companies like Samsung, AWS, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, L&T, Cisco, Mahindra, ONGC visit for recruitment. Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

A Honest Review on NIT Silchar.

Placement Experience:

The placement in NIT Silchar is decent. You will be eligible for placement from the 4th year but you will be associated with the T&P cell from the 3rd year. The companies which came for placements in 2022 are Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Electronics Limited, Amazon Web Services, Vedanta Resources Limited, Make My Trip, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA in 2022 offered by Amazon Web Services and the average package is 15-16 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed in CSE & and 90% in ECE, followed by EIE whereas in other branches the percentage is low. After getting the degree, I will be seating for placements and getting a Job Of course.

Life At IIT Guwahati

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Placement Experience:

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that. Mostly many people get interns in their 5th or 6th sem and get placed at the end of the 7th sem. I will talk more about this after going the second year atleast
