Remarks :

The college is a very old college, most of my family members studied here. So I also joined this college. The college has good infrastructure and a very peaceful environment. The admission process is a very simple and easy process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

ECE has a very good scope after CSE and ISE and, as there are more opportunities in ECE so I had chosen this course. The faculties here are very experienced and well qualifies, most of them including our HOD have PhD degrees in their particular field. It was not that difficult to clear the term exams as there was proper material provided by the faculties.

Course Fees : INR 600000 per year

Placement Experience :

From the 6th sem or mostly by 7th sem that is the final year the students get eligible to get a job, there were quite decent and satisfied placements as 70%+ students got placed from my batch. The average package was around 4-5 LPA if you have cleared all the subjects in the first attempt.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fees as per the quality are quite OK, but the fees are not paid on time they charge a huge fine amount, apart from that it is fine, you can apply for scholarships and if it gets delay you can ask permission and avoid a fine.

Campus Life :

There are inter-college competitions in sports and also in cultural's conducted in the college. There is a centralized library where there are many books which you can get access to, also there is branch wise library available in each department. There are student clubs like technical and non-technical which helps to grow personal and also industry-wise.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Experience through words

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
