Entrance Preview :

The Karnataka CET score is accepted here. Then there is the online admission procedure to apply to this college. You are invited for counselling on the basis of your CET rank. I had a low rank so I landed up here. It's a decent college that way.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is as per the Visvesvarya University guidelines. They cover the topics related to Mechanical engineering and the teaching quality is satisfactory. The course curriculum needs to be made very practical oriented. Currently, it is more theory oriented.

Placement Experience :

The placements in this college are strong for IT and Electronics and Communications branch. This is true for nearly all other colleges. The college has the advantage of being in Bangalore so it is able to attract many good recruiters. Being in the mechanical engineering department, I could not join any of the top IT firms. I found a job as a trainee in Bharat Electronics.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are dependent upon the type of entry you have. Whether you are Karnataka student or out of state student or if you are an international student.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships up to INR 7.5 lakhs are available. Check with the college for eligibility and more information.

Campus Life :

Campus life is fairly active. The college has many clubs for academics-related subjects as well as sports. There are contests and events being conducted on a regular basis. The campus is green and large (14 acres). They have made many facilities available for students like gym, cafeteria, parks, auditorium, etc. The college is fairly well-equipped in this sense. The students are from Karnataka mostly. There are many foreign nationals also coming in here. Most of them are from neighbouring countries like Nepal and many are actually NRIs who come to India for undergraduate studies from Middle Eastern countries. They often go back to these countries and hence you will find a good number of HKBK alumni in Gulf countries.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities are good. The boys and girls buildings are segregated. The hostel wings are clean and well-maintained I've heard. I didn't live in the hostel since I am a local. The canteen food is good but they need more variety.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Faculty :

The faculty is a mixed bag of experienced people and freshers. Yes, there are recent graduates teaching here. The visiting faculties from industry are often better than the permanent staff here. They complete the syllabus before the exam but they need to improve teaching standards.

I used saw a videos of Aman dhatterwal he is an influencer along with that a founder of apna college. To be very honest I didn't work on any real world projects in my academics. I want the faculty as well as the curriculum should have a subject like UI/UX, graphic design and many more not the theory subjects.
