Remarks :
The institute believes in the holistic and overall development of the students with the help of Specialised courses and student-driven committees. This ensures the all-round development of the future managers of tomorrow.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are industry experts having an overall average experience of 15 years, and there is a mix of both industry and academia. The faculties ensure overall clarity of concepts and their application.
Internships Opportunities :
The SIP offered by the companies is decent enough, some companies offer roles like Business Development, Sales, Digital Marketing, Market Research, Social Media Marketing, Human Resources Associate, Retail Trainee Associate, etc. These roles are also compensated with a stipend.

As soon as the induction programme ends, students become eligible to sit for Summer Placements. Companies that offer placements at K J Somaiya Institute of Management are Barclays, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, CRISIL, Cognizant, Nestle, ITC, Deloitte, Britannia, Bisleri, Reliance Retail, TATA Motors, TATA AIG, and many more. The percentage of students getting placed every year is 100%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There has been a fee hike for the batch of 2020 this has been done considering the new infrastructural changes in the campus and availability of in house software/databases for the students. This helps the students to grow and make a decisive choice between colleges.
Campus Life :
There are many events happening all year round, I was the Convenor of the flagship events of the Retail Management programme called the National Retail Summit. Such events helo the students in holistic development, external relations, digital marketing and the development of interpersonal skills. These skills are very essential to any new future managers of tomorrow. The flagship fest at the institute is known as "MELANGE".
Hostel Facilities :
The meal of the hostel mess is decent enough, the only drawback is one won't be able to eat non-veg inside the campus. As there are some Somaiya Values that have been considered by the management. Considering the cost of living in Mumbai, the hostel fees are decent and the rooms are in Triple Sharing.
Interview Experience :
There is no GD at K J Somaiya Institute of Management admissions' process, but instead, there is a case discussion and personal interview round. These help the students to be analytical and helps the evaluator to make a well-informed choice.
