My college experience

Remarks :

The good thing is the prosperity and the culture of the college and of course the placement of the college. MBA Agribusiness is a special course run on the Rajiv Gandhi South campus. Institute of Management Studies, BHU has a placement cell that helps and assists students by organising campus placements. The main reason to prefer this college is the placement of the college. One can visit bhuonline.in for the application process and the student portal is also managed here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBA AB is in great demand. Many private and public sector organizations regularly visit for campus placements. For detailed information, please visit the web page of the Parent Department (FMS BHU Home). This course has high growth potential and the future is very bright in the upcoming years this course is going to play a vital role in the field of agriculture as it combines agriculture with management. The exam was mainly focused on reasoning, aptitude, agriculture and general science questions with overall marks of 360. Exams questions are of standard and moderate level. On the basis of combined merit of Entrance Test, GD & Interview. Admission of Foreign Nationals: Supernumerary admission of 5% of the total intake is available for Foreign Nationals. The candidates are required to apply through International Students' Center, Banaras Hindu University.

Internships Opportunities :

For the placement, the college offers two options for the students. The first one is an opt-in option for those who want to do an internship in the company offered by the college and the second one is the opt-out for those who want to do an internship on their own. Companies related to the farm and agriculture sector, the finance sector including banks are regular recruiters. Bajaj Capital, Sriram bio seeds, pan seeds, ICICI and others came this year for internship and offered a stipend of up to 30000. The internship is of atleast 8 weeks is necessary and after completion of this, a presentation viva is necessary along with the project work.

Placement Experience :

Students of MBA AB are in great demand. Many private and public sector organizations regularly visit for campus placements. more information about the placement is there on the official site of site. About every student got placed an average placement is about 6LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Students belonging to their states can apply for their particular scholarship schemes there is no any special scholarship provided on the campus especially in Rajiv Gandhi South campus but the fee of the course is a bought 2.4 lacs for two years which includes tuition fee hostel fee mess charges and the education fee as the university and colleges fee are given separately for the first semester I have to give approx 64000 which includes a one-time payment of 20000 for the first semester. A company related to agriculture finance and related sector visits the campus every year and an overall placement of 3 to 12 lacs is provided and almost all students get placed.

Campus Life :

There are a number of fests that happens in the college However my batch missed most of these because of corona problem. A clip is made by senior for all group-related activities and placement purpose. The hostel and classes are neat and clean. There is a library having plenty of books and journals and a computer lab with plenty of a number on the computer. The campus is full of greenery and enough space for sports.

Hostel Facilities :

An average room with a fan and table and 2 students live in a room. The mess fee is also quite reasonable. All the students get hostel accommodation facilities. Since there is very less population so the hostel becomes compulsory.

Interview Experience :

After qualifying the written examination that is a computer-based examination there was an interview and GD session. In the interview equations related to graduation, agriculture, why BHU, why agribusiness and related to some current issue were asked. In the GD topics were mainly related to current like the farm bill, girl education, technology in agriculture etc. A panel of 12 students is there at a time for GD. I prepared some common questions for gd and rad about some current topics from newspapers and online.

From the 3rd semester of the course, students become eligible for final placements. ISAB is maintaining 100% final and summer internship placements since its inception and we are looking forward to maintaining the record. The placement cell is very active and supports students in their campus placement ventures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course of agribusiness because like after BSc in agriculture you can go for MSc in agriculture or MBA in agribusiness. I don't want to prepare for Ph.D. in the government sector so there is a better scope of an MBA in the private sector rather than an MSc in agriculture. Another reason for doing MBA is placement. The placement ratio of MBA students is better than m.sc students and salaries are also good. Another reason is in the private sector and MBA degree holders will get better promotions than average MSc degree holders. On my campus, there are 46 students in MBA agribusiness and 7 to 80% of them will surely get a minimum package of 350000 and a maximum package of 8 lacs. The guest faculty of MBA agribusiness is quite good. There are some teachers who are not as good as others but there is a 100% guarantee of course completion. Semester exams are not quite easy or too difficult if you will focus a little bit on your studies you will easily get pass. Semester exams are delayed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The trimester exam was there and it is pretty difficult to pass and have very good projects to work on plus the faculty is very good for finance. I am fortunate to be here. All the faculty is doctorate who are teaching plus have a very wide range of practical experience and links at big companies. The faculty is approachable. The college is very regular in respect of course and exam schedule. The course provides in-depth knowledge and exposure to students to real-life problems.

Students can apply for internships in any semester but for jobs, they are eligible by their end year only. Companies like Wipro, Paytm, Byjus, HSBC bank, Amazon visits the campus in the management department and almost 65 percent of the students get internship easily based on their skills. And for jobs, the highest package in management was 12 lakhs per annum and the average is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum.
