Remarks :

Nothing bad. Just that the college's fee structure is high, other than that I think its pretty good.

Entrance Preview :

College entrance exam. I chose this because I like doing things related to art and since one of its aspect is aesthetics I thought what better field than this. Plus you get to be a Doctor.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is a constantly developing field. If you actually see the history of dental appliances a lot has changed in the past few years. And also there is a lot of scope for further development in this field. According to me even after ten years this field become even more important than it is now considering the rate of development of our country economically.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes our college provides internship and the inflow of patients is also good so we can practice well. But the stipend is not much. Its almost negligible if you consider your other expenses which I think should be increased.

Placement Experience :

Its good since the college has a good name. Its quite systematic. So, yes students of this college do get a certain level preference over other college's students. There's no placement taking place in our college as this filed is different. Because you are independent to chose how you want to work i.e your own clinic air under some doctor.

College Events :

We have a college festival named Padmanjali that we celebrate. The whole festival lasts for about one month with various events and days celebrated the entire month. Including preparations for the festival its almost 2 months. Its amazing since students get to handle everything. Also there's a lot if excitement for the festival every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is expensive. Currently for new students its around 5 lac. Plus after the 3rd year it increases by 15% also there are other expenses like instruments for dentistry which is quite expensive and there are also conferences being held throughout the year for which you need to pay.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are scholarships for people who scored high marks in the entrance test. Also if you rank among top 3 in the university exams you get a certain amount. About loans I don't have any idea so far.

Campus Life :

Sports is quite here. As for Dental students Girls are more. Whereas in MBBS its almost equal. There is certain problems with the way girls dress up considering it being a rural area. We have to wear kurtis and leggings to college and after hours we can wear jeans but it has to be decent. Shorts and one piece is not allowed so that's a problem. Other than that I don't think there is any sort of discrimination.

Hostel Facilities :

It is within the campus only. Hostel is amazing, open spaces, lush green campus. Mess food is average considering the number of people they make food for and also it is cheaper if you compare with other deemed university. So the good quality hostel for the amount we pay. Also the campus has WiFi.

Alumni/Alumna :

They are good and quite helpful if you are on good terms with them, so it is important for you to build good relationship with them and be more social. Because you really need their assistance.

Exam Structure :

Its not too hectic or too chilled. Initial years everything is systematic. But as the number of subjects increase it does become hectic because you have postings along with exams. So, its mostly the final year when there's pressure and students are usually drained out.

Faculty :

It is good. Yes but there are times when the faculty is busy with patients. So we learn under PG students. I won't say it is the best. But it is satisfactory. But the teachers are ever ready to help you out if you want to so you can approach them. Also seniors help you out with your curriculum too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I chose this course is because I was interested in the human body anatomy and biology. Subjects like oral surgery, radiology and general medicine are my current favourites. The curriculum prepares us for real life cases by including various examples of different patients. The practical quota is such that it requires the students to attend to the patient in real life scenarios in an actual hospital. These experiences gained in the clinics during the course help in better understanding the theory part of the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is well matched with the courses. There are practical classes which are really important for the health care field. In those classes we are actually taught the skills which we will require in our work, which will help us to treat our patients. Every skill is thought in detail and we even have practical examination which will check how much we have learnt. Exams are of a good level which prepare us to use our concepts, hence shaping our mind for the future situations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BDS is the only degree where you start with specialization. You have a limited part to deal with but has diverse clinical cases. One can easily set up a clinic after BDS unlike MBBS . The course also has the involvement of medical subjects for first two years. Each year has two internal exams , one prelims and then a final university exam

Placement Experience:

As this is a professional course there are no placements here the students have to excel on their own by setting up a clinic or preparing for masters. I am most likely to prepare for the matter degree and wish to get the same college for a masters degree.

Remarks:

Positives: A healthy hassle free environment without any kind of ragging related issues. One of the safest colleges for Womens. Frequent placement drives from various of companies all over India. Leaves you with adequate knowledge about the subject with acceptable academics. Negatives: Not suitable if you want to enjoy the college life along with academics. Fee structure is not feasible for lower class people if appointed through management.
