Four years of Engineering

Remarks :

Pune university is well known & my interest was in the field of Biotechnology. So, I got into the right college under the right university. My college is good with academics & also with extra curricular activities i,e Technical fests, Karandak, Firodiya, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Academics is upto the mark, faculty members are good at teaching as well as they are ethusiastic in arranging different activities like seminars, industrial visits, guest lectures, alumni meets, etc. Faculty members have completed their PG. Exams are conducted on time & if you study well it's not difficult to pass the exam.

Placement Experience :

Placement cell is good. But frankly it's good for onky CS & IT candidates. Being a person from biotech background I'm placed in IT company cognizant with 4LPA package. But you can go for PG or after doing some job searching you can get a nice job if you have a good resume. In our college 30% students are placed from placement and too many from CS/IT background.

College Events :

Our campus is actually very nice. All the facilities are available within the campus. Our campus has SSC ( Sinhgad student council) which manages all the major events conducted in the campus. Also we have clubs like English club, Art circle, Drama circle, NSS, etc. We have central library which is the ocean of knowledge as many reference books are available there which are costly & you can take them free for a period of 15 days then again renewal is required. Many sports are being played like cricket, basketball, volleyball, kabbadi, etc & also inter college matches are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee is almost 1 L per year for Open category. But if you go for TFWS option i,e Tution fee waver scheme it's 10K per year for open category. Also, if family income is low or you belong to farmer family you can go for EBC (Economically Backward Class) concession (this is for open category). People under caste can get concession in fees as per the criteria of college. OBC has mostly 50 % concession, ST 10 K almost and SC around 5K-6K or less. A well maintained placement cell is their in our college, campus jobs are a benifit truely.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is nice. Rooms are cleaned on regular basis, security is good. Rooms are spacious and the hostels are in the campus so college is nearby. Mess is included in the hostel fees. Actually mess food is nice but sometimes students get bored of it and they need change. But I must say it's affordable than the food you will eat outside. Process for hostel admission is easy. You have to show the reciept of college admission and then they will go for hostel admission.

Admission :

No interview was conducted during admission. I got the college in CAP 1 & I locked it. I just went on to the college to complete my admission process and paid my fees. That's it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The internal exams are very important to give and also it is very difficult to pass in internals. In the exam, the supervisors are also 2 in each class and they are also very strict. No student can copy in this college. The faculties are also highly educated and their teaching method is also very good. The college has 2 computer labs also.
