Each semester builds on the previous semester. There are assignments, projects given by the professors.

The event draws participation from all the elite B-Schools in India. As it the corporates who sponsor, the cash prizes are huge for the winning teams.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
This is the best part. The fee for two years is just Rs.2 lakhs. It includes study material, access to the internet, etc. The library is huge with numerous books on each subject. It is perfectly feasible in that the student does not even have to avail any loan to pay it off. And a major part of the fee gets offset by the stipend students earn in their internships.
Fees and Financial Aid :
OPJEMS is a scholarship awarded to high scorers in the first year exams. Other scholarships include those given to reserved category students based on need, past academics, etc.
Campus Life :
The diversity is visible in the class. 25% of the class is females. There is a mix of freshers and those with work experience. The students come from backgrounds of Engineering, Commerce, BMS, etc. The diversity is in form of the previous work experience also. There are numerous committees which help run the college efficiently - Academic committee, Alumni committee, Entrepreneurship Cell, etc and clubs - Consulting, Finance, Marketing, Operations. All the above ensure the students never get bored as they are constantly involved in one activity or the other.
Hostel Facilities :
JBIMS does have a shared hostel facility along with Mumbai University students. The hostel intake is 30 from MMS and is close to Churchgate station, a 5-minute walk to the college. The hostel is allocated on basis of merit to students who are from outside Mumbai. As many students happen to be from the city itself, they live in their homes. Other students live in rented apartments or PGs. The rentals can vary from 5k/month to 12k/month depending on the area of residence and specific requirements.
Alumni/Alumna :
A rich alumni network helps students prepare for their interviews, guest lectures, year-long mentorship. These give an insight into the workings of the industry and help hone the skills necessary for doing well.
Exam Structure :
JBIMS follows a Semester pattern. 2 years translates to 4 semesters in total. Each subject has a split of 40 marks internal evaluation and 60 marks in the end semester. The internal evaluation consists of assignments, projects given by the professors. End semester exam encompasses all the topics covered during the course.

MHCET MBA is an MCQ test. Post the test, the students are called for GD and PI. The scores are added up and the final list is published. There are total 124 seats for MMS course. Faculty :
Academically I must say that JB has got some of the best faculty who are working professionals and bring out the experience via use of applications of whatever theory is being taught. This is what I experienced in subjects related to marketing, finance and operations. Visiting faculty are/have been the presidents of corporations and have an in-depth knowledge of the practical application of learnt concepts.
