Remarks :

Good aspects- this college is one of the best colleges in J&K. Lies in the heart and soul of the city. A brilliant place to study and get close to nature too because of its geographical location. This college has good infrastructure and most important the finest professors of the state and all are PhD qualified with good experiences. Labs are highly maintained with the availability of all the important chemicals needed. Hostel facility is available for boys/girls. Full security as the PCR is always one around at night. Bas aspects- due to harsh climate the college remains closed for three months during winter. Also, the student-teacher ratio is a bit high. Admission process opens in the month of April/May every year. And the selections are made on merit basis. There is a reservation for SC/ST/OBC. Reason for selecting this college. One reason was that all my friends had taken admission there and also its geographical location attracted me. I checked about this college on Google.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In Srinagar city, this is the only college that offers almost all the courses a student prefers. The student-professor ratio is 31:1 which is a bit high as compared to other colleges. The faculty of this college is highly qualified and almost all of them are PhD. They have a good teaching experience in various affiliated colleges too. Within every six months, semester exams are conducted and the assignments and practicals carry separate marks. One has to study hard to pass in the beginning as soon as you get momentum it becomes easy to pass.

Placement Experience :

This college doesn't give placements but gives special classes to the students who want to join the prestigious civil services. Also, this college gives free evening coaching for weak students. Every year 30-40% students of this college join JNU, Indian Military Academy and various other universities for their master courses. After I graduated I want to join the Indian Military Academy Dehradun.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total cost of the BSc course here is around 60000 rupees. There are special concessions for the poor and SC/ST students. There are scholarship schemes for the students who are high in merit, belong to SC/ST, poor families having annual household income less than 2 lakhs. As soon as you get into your final semester students start preparing for the Master's entrance examination across the country. The college provides information regarding various courses too in their prospectus.

Campus Life :

The Fresher's Party begins within a fortnight as you join the college in the month of April. And the college annual function is conducted in the same month. Also, the college gives the option to volunteer for NCC and NSS in which a student attends various camps throughout the country. The classrooms are well furnished with projector and smart boards. All rooms are well ventilated. Within the college elections of HeadBoy/HeadGirl took place every year. Also, a CR is made from the newly joined students.

Other Applied Colleges

National Defence Academy | Airforce( Flying)

I cleared my written examination but unfortunately wasn't able to clear the SSB.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is built with amazing combination, the theoretical part, partical part everything is balanced. The curriculum covers around development of the students so that he or she can tackle every situation in life and can live a successful life in any part of the world, the lab work is just amazing. The areas of improvement I think is that more focus should be on practical work rather than class work. The frequency and timing of exam is just balanced you have enough time to prepare well if we talk about the difficulty level of papers i would say papers are from syllabus and each and everything is taught by faculty members so I think that makes papers easy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The motivation and the decision of taking bsc zoology honours as my course were my teachers who motivated meto take that subject and i myself was interested more in the zoology department The subject ensures wide opportunities for the students in academics,be it a teacher, reasearcher, a professional teacher, and what not .. it ensures that every students gets good academic benefit.. There isn't any suggestions as such because everything is nice and perfect The difficulty level is set by the teachers according to their knowledge of the exams and hurdles we will be going through or we will be facing.. The teachers continuously makes us understand the importance of the course and the competitive exams we will be facing and makes our preparation better always.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've chosen chemistry because I had interest in it. I feel now I did right to choose chemistry. Teachers of chemistry department makes easy to make us understood the reactions and everything . The only thing they should improve is that they should give us time for preparation. After 3 months of start of new sem they start taking exams which makes us difficult to pass.
