Remarks :

For an Engineering student, the big requirement is Placement. And this is the college where the maximum number of placement happens every year even in core branches. The admission is based on an entrance exam name JEXPO. You have to achieve a good rank in this exam after your Class 10 to join this college. This is the best polytechnic college in west Bengal with minimum fees and well-experienced faculties with a good and responsible placement cell. You may follow the website like quora to get more knowledgeable about this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I am interested in physics and I found more applications of physics in mechanical so I choose this stream. The faculty and student ratio in this college is about 1:15. Most of the teachers are M.Tech and they are very much experienced. They teach from basic and clear your doubts. There are 2 semesters duration of almost 6 months in a year.

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 1000 per year

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester students are eligible for placement. There are some reputed companies like L&T, Tata voltas, Tata Power, L&T infotech, ITC, MN Dastur etc are recruiting students from our college. The highest CTC is around 3 LPA and the average is 1.44lpa. Almost 80-85% of students get placed every year. I want to pursue my higher study after passing.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees here are very low 800 per year as admission fee and 250 for each semester exam, that's all. For west Bengal students, there is a scholarship worth 1500 per month named swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship for those students whose family income not beyond 2.5 lakhs.

Campus Life :

There is a fest for the fresher welcome and a cultural annual fest organised by students union every year. There is a well-equiped library in this college with many books of various subjects. There are clean and well classrooms and there are also some smart classrooms. Every year a sports competition(Either cricket or football) organised by the students union. There is a Facebook page of this college.
