Remarks :

After I finished my 12th class, I selected this particular course (bjmc). I got to know about VIPS through my entrance coaching and when I Googled top 5 colleges in IP for bjmc it was ranked as no. 1 college. My rank was 564 and I got second shift (evening batch). The rank for VIPs goes to 900 if your rank is more than 900 its tough to get admission. You can get admission through management quota which requires your IPU CET rank as well as your 12th class mark sheet. 1. Once you select vips as your college you have to pay 40,000rs(which is paid online that is the ggsipu fees)then you are asked to pay 66,000 remaining fees 61,000(fees)5,000rs(security deposit which is refundable when you graduate) books are not included in the fees you have to pay 5,000rs for book bank which is also refundable but you have to return books after every sem. Timings for 1st shift are 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and for 2nd shift, it is 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The infrastructure of the college is great. Teachers are cooperative.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I wanted to go into video production. The student-teacher ratio is 1 teacher for 60 students. 5 subjects 5 teachers 1 BJMC dean. You will have 1 class teacher and 1 class mentor you can freely ask whatever you want to. The teachers have 5-25 years of experience they look after each and every student and recognize each one of them. The work environment is very energetic in bjmc you also like to do things and improve yourself on your own. Teachers have a lot of experience and teaching methods are also engaging. Term exams were taken on time and you don't have to worry much about the syllabus as you'll always have so engaging classes that in exams you don't have much pressure. You have 20 marks of internal exams.

Internships Opportunities :

There are multiple small media houses which our college offers us to work in. It's rare to get paid in college internships, if you are working outside college then you might get paid. Sometimes big newspapers like Indian Express also pick 2-3 students for small-time internships. Projects that are given by media houses is of video editing, video production and sometimes scriptwriting or anchoring. Whereas projects given by Newspaper house (Indian Express) are of article writing.

Placement Experience :

In 3rd year students get placements. They usually get internship proposals during every year by the college to work in some media houses or if you don't get any internship college to organize summer training for 1st-year student and give them a task such as article writing(in BJMC).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is 1,01,000 rs and 5,000rs for security deposit only for 1st year. fee was hike in 2019 before i joined the college. There is no scholarship provided solely by the college but there are some scholarships provided by the government for ip colleges for scholarships details you can visit edistrict website (higher education department and you'll have the following scholarship details. I am in 2 nd year you don't actually get stipend based jobs from college.

Campus Life :

For BJMC they have an annual fest named spandan. Spandan is conducted in the month of November. Books and journals are available in the library you can go anytime in the library by showing your ID. The library has full amenities. The classroom has centralized AC, quality of desk and seats is good, every class room has projectors and rooms are spacious. Our College has football, cricket and practice were usually done in the ground. Clubs that our college have is NSS(National service society) dance society, photography society, singing society, theatre society. There are multiple events that our college or some specific clubs create like an open mic in canteen area stand up comedy. Students have a lot of opportunities when it comes to competition we have a lot of internal competitions which are organized by different society's

Entrance Preview:

There was no entrance exam and admissions were taken on the basis of the percentage acquired in 12th class. I chose the course because i did not make it to NIFT Delhi which was my first option but this being the second option to reach to masses, i joined this course.

Admission:

This is the only procedure for admission. The centralised Delhi University form that comes somewhere near April is the form that needs to be filled for this. When the cutoffs are out in June/July, we need to take all the required documents to the college.

Remarks:

The college topped in all aspects in providing the mass communication students the studio and equipment facilities. One thing that always touched my heart was the facilities for the PWD/blind students. The college infrastructure makes sure they are comfortable and self-reliant all the time.

Remarks:

Somewhere college management was not up to date. They charged fine if any student is not completing their 75% attendance for exam Hall ticket. So I hated this system and even now I don't support this corrupt way.
