Remarks :

College is the youngest college in the Delhi university established in 1994. It is the best college in East Delhi. Abundant of the area including a playground, library, media labs and fabulous Sardar Patel auditorium. The bad aspect is it is not on campus, away from campus. The admission process is simple rather being complex. Faculty is good and experienced providing phenomenal teaching experience. The new building, well connectivity of transportation and good college infrastructure with positive friendly people whether teaching or non-teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opt for BA political science honours. Faculty comprises of the best teacher of Delhi university circuit. Our department consists of 12 -13 teachers to a maximum of 150-160 students. Faculty is well qualified and highly knowledgeable, no doubt to their skills. The exam is timely and well organised in a free and fair manner with well-planned infrastructure. If you study hard and sincerely you will easily be able to pass and secure good marks.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 32490 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Infosys, Barclays, Lok Satta etc companies offer handsome paying internship for students. The average stipend is 15000 rupees. Political science honours student internship of Legislative research assistant is very rewarding and experience worthy.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th semester that is last students became eligible companies like Barclays, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Cogent, I Energizer, Cognito hire skilful prodigious students. Highest is 13 lakhs per annum. 60% of students easily get good placements from college campuses. My plan after college is to go for Civil service examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee hike is not much in college. Annual fees are approximately 11000 for the first year. For the second and third year, it is 10745. Various scholarships under Student aid fund, to SC, ST, OBC and minorities. Various scholarship on basis of merit is also there.

Campus Life :

The annual festival is held once in a year. One is the official one from college and other from the college student union. One celebrity once a year comes to college for performances in college fests. In the library, 10000 books are there. Daily leading newspapers are available every day. News journal for academics purpose is available. The magazine for the competitive exam is also available. The classroom is very spacious, fully ventilated with good hygienic conditions. Cleaning is thoroughly maintained in premises. Sports festival are organised every year. Gym facility is available. Sports good are provided. Very big playground with good cricket pitch, basketball court, the table tennis court is available to students. Various college societies are their.

Worst decision ever

Placement Experience:

Personally, i have good amount of experience in the industry so i might just not need vollege placements. But fir the senior batch i think only a fee got placed but rest of the students are doing things personally.

An in-depth review of Dyal Singh College , academics , campus life and opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The ba programe here is little different from other colleges accross the country. The curriculum is quite diversified. If you are intrested in arts , there is lot to learn. If one want to become writter or any thing related to literature , or want to become historian , geo-politics expert,etc. The course is quite good. The exams held every four and a half or five months and the difficulty level is moderate.

My experience in maitreyi college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like this course is about rights and authorities which is very important for everyone nowadays and specially when you are a girl so that nobody couldn't dominate you. We read about what were the past sceniors towards the lower castes or women which is also happens in most of the states and cities but this curriculum taught us whats the reality of the world and how to be independent and how to protest for our rights . Even we can more learn about this if the faculity organises those things via presentation or streamings with some videos so it will be more helpful in our exams too!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

English honours was my first preference because I like to read and write. Analysing texts is something I was always fond of and with the guidance of my professors it's become more fun. The course has not much placements opportunities.
