Xtty's Review On Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College - [GNDEC], Ludhiana

Remarks :

Good thing is that my college has alumni all over the world and it's like you can get a good exposure but bad is its placements. If you compare the college with other colleges it beats nit Jalandhar because it was established in 1956 till now it has produced so many Engineers all around the world

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had a lot of interest in Electrical circuits so I opted for Electrical Engineering. There are almost 100+ students in every branch so the classes are divided into sec's so you can find 50 students on 1 teacher in one class. Senior teachers are highly qualified and some teachers are very poor in teaching they have complete knowledge about the subject but they are new towards the subject but if you ask them doubts personally they would help you a lot but senior teachers are all gold medalist and PhD holders some are from nits and iits too Exams are quite easy for me in person are easy to crack if you study one hour a day from day 1 you can get good marks exams are held timely result is also declared on time if you opt for other activities you may get extra marks in external too for only some specific students not mandatory

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, there are internship opportunities for students like I have mentioned earlier Mahindra tractor was offering students internship and scholarship both. The stipend is basically average mainly here you will find companies that are very common TCS and byjus and all. Siddhu moosewala is also graduated from GNE college ???? a singer added ...

Placement Experience :

See like in final year here everyone goes into placements. And it's not up to mark because here if your in CSE IT or ECE you get placed at3-3.5 lakh per annum .but opportunities have raised in recent years production engineering student got a placement of 15 lakhs per annum and this year Flipkart arrived and gave a placement of 13lakhs last year Samsung have a placement of 12 lakhs byjus gave 10 lakhs placement. if you are in core and want to get hired for tech companies then you need to take notes courses and learn to code. And almost 70-80% students get placed but if the placement is low then it's of no use if you're re in civil or mechanical engineering then you may find the gate results are fair enough for a college. Civil and mechanical are the best branches in the college andy plan is to join Indian army after Engineering.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure is a bit high but according to a govt aided College, it's fair enough. There are scholarship based on your merit and some alumni scholarship and also state govt scholarship for minorities there is also a special quota for Sikh minority for jobs you can get on campus is for CSE IT and ECE. Recently a few days back in my Electrical branch Mahindra tractor companies arrived to give scholarship for students and also internships opportunity for them in the second year

Campus Life :

There are fests like Atharva genesis and societies are ISTE SCIE PFA and here if you are interested in being RJ here you can get a chance to be college has its own community radio station spread at 15kms . Here you can join NSS and NCC in the army or air wing the college has its own library app and also all books are Available in library sports is good here you will find athletic meet in the month of February and you can here find a cyclist who won a silver medal at Asian championship Gne is the best college in PTU. Classrooms are good here comfortable .

Hostel Facilities :

See here you yourself have to decide like rooms are quite old types and if you are a student who has a habit of being like a king in an AC so sorry you can't stay because it's an overall average hostel in the first year there are 3 room students in one room room is quite big and you have a balcony to the hostel is inside the campus and if you want PG then you can get nearby college at a walking distance. The hostel is allowed at the time of admission itself and if you ask for a meal than it was bit a problem but the good thing here is that the solution is in your hands look like here you have a combine mess system like there is a mess committee and the students decide and take care what has to be made by the cooks and what everyone desires to eat so your problem have your solutions and of you are in a mess committee so you need to check if the food is hygienic or it's going wrong somewhere so you if it's going wrong you can appeal to the committee and the charges are also fair enough like 1800 per month

Interview Experience :

No, the admission was based on jee mains and10+2 PCM. A few years back the college used to close under 1lakh rank for home state students too. I went for purchasing a notebook there I met a person he asked me are you in GNE I said yes so he said it's a great college a few years back my sister tried she could not get the admission here but now the craze of Engineering is declining so the college has to fill it seats so they are letting in the students at low ranks too.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
