Pearl Academy West Campus New Delhi, UG Pathway, Media & Entertainment Management

Reviewed on Oct 28, 2020

Remarks

Because I am interested in Bollywood and entertainment field. Also because this is one of the few good colleges which has this course. I have heard a lot of positive reviews about pearl academy. Also I really love the ambiance of the college.I am not the type of person who loves rote learning and I am more of a person who likes practical learning. Also this college is quite convenient for me as it??s like 5 kms away from my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is all about photography, film studies, Video editing, documentary making, writing articles for magazines and tabloids. The teachers are very friendly and open minded. My favourite faculty is Aparna Ma??am, she has an excellent sense of humour and her classes are very fun.Definately I do get exposure, our college arranges various zoom meetings with the film makers of Bollywood and various event managers.

Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Placement Experience

Many good companies like Vogue, Femina For Fashion and Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney for Media students as I am only in second year I don??t know much about the placements but the placement department of my college is pretty well

College Events

Because we have different societies in this college. There is also an event called Pearl Sangham where all the socities of all the branches of pearl academy come together to compete against each other.many famous artists like B.Praak are called to perform on the stage.

Campus Life

Our campus is not very huge, but it??s still very classy, clean and sophisticated. We do not have sports in this college but we do have various societies like drama society, fashion society etc. All the students have unlimited access to WiFi. Our library is not very big but it has all types of books and it??s very clean and the ambience is very pleasing to the eyes.

Girly

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

limited hostel availability options available
Heay Academic workload, especially during mid terms

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

LBSIM- In depth review

Likes

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Social interaction is good in this college
Greenery around the campus, fresh air comes directly

Dislikes

Infrastructure could have been more better
The college seriously needs a renovation

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the curriculum is quite good and covers the main subjects needed for B.Pharm. I chose this course because it gives a good mix of pharmaceutical theory and practical knowledge. The practical classes help in understanding the concepts better and the course provides a useful foundation for further studies and future jobs in the pharmaceutical field.

Pearl academy, is it as bad as you think?

I applied to symbiosis institute of design pune and got in. I didnt choose it because sid is not that known for design. And after talking to students there i realised that the placements are not that good in SID. Whereas in pearl placements are very good. Also because i compared the courses in sid and oearl and oearl has a better fc course and faculty. I also appliead to nift and made it to the second round. But couldnt get in due to 50% seats being of reservation and also my situation teat going not so good. I applied to NID as well and scired a rank in 500's but NID has very high competition and only chooses oeople from ranks below 300 To get into pearl one must give an entrance exam and then a PI. The admissions are not that difficult as there is no reservation and u will get in based on ur merit...Read More
