Remarks :

I picked out St. Xavier's College because it's one of the best colleges in India. The microbiology department is the oldest in the country. The very successful alumni was a big factor. After a lot of research with previous students, I realized the outreach of the college in terms of jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

We had a very extensive syllabus with a great deal of industrial exposure. Faculty is very well versed with the present workings of the industry and the new research findings. Dr. Aparna Talekar, Dr. Pampi Chakraborty and Ms. Sangeetha Chavan were some of the good teachers with such wide variety of knowledge.

Class Size : 17Course Fees : INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience :

The placement becomes a little less for MSc students. However, we do get information about placements that are available.

College Events :

Extracurriculars in Xaviers is an experience every college student should have. From regular festivals and events to participation in various other college events Xaviers was always at the top. With events from different departments and different cultures helped us as students to be more accepting of the diversities.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure of St. Xavier's College is one of a kind. The lab are equipped with all the latest research equipment along with a complete library of well reputed authors and journals. In terms of Wi-Fi, due to the old building structure, reception was a bit dicey.

Hostel Facilities :

No. I have not availed for hostel service. It is a boys hostel. PGs and other private girls hostels are available in the vicinity. Some provide food, some don't. Hostel in Xaviers is well maintained in terms of infrastructure and discipline

Course Curriculum Overview:

The internal exams are very important to give and also it is very difficult to pass in internals. In the exam, the supervisors are also 2 in each class and they are also very strict. No student can copy in this college. The faculties are also highly educated and their teaching method is also very good. The college has 2 computer labs also.

There is no place for sports to the college to have extra curricular activities. That's a drawback rest all is good and we have very good communication with faculty and HOD to share the details and any remarks.
