Intership has to be secured the student, no help from college.

Remarks :

Jankidevi Bajaj Institute is a sister concern of the esteemed Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. This connection allows the students to have the benefit of access to some of the first-grade faculties from Jamnalal. Teachers with decades of experience in the industry and in the field of education. Admission was through CET. The College was allocated to me based on my ranking and preferences. Jankidevi is located in Santacruz West, which makes it easily accessible for anyone situated in the suburbs of Mumbai. The facilities are remarkable and the access to the SNDT library is an added advantage. The campus itself is an experience.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As mentioned earlier, some of the facilities are ones with decades of experience in the industry and teaching experience in Jamnalal Bajaj. However, they are not keen on guiding students with their career choices. Sometimes it appears as if they are coming here just because they are made to, by the Bajaj Management. The in-house teaching staff was not that great in terms of industry experience. They could barely provide guidance with regards to the theory topics. No creative means of teaching.

Placement Experience :

Placement season starts from the third semester. The college does have a dedicated faculty to guide the students with the placement process as in the preparation of resumes and mock interviews, there are no big companies actually coming to the campus though. Students do reach out to the alumnus for placement opportunities. But since the college is a 'girls only' institute, some of the alumni are not in a position to help because they have chosen to opt-out of an active career in the industry. The degree and knowledge acquired here is however enough for the students to get themselves placed well and their own hard work and perseverance help them move ahead in life

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are on par with the other similar colleges in Mumbai. The office staff is very helpful with regards to guiding the students for any financial help required. There are no scholarships available.

Campus Life :

The college encourages its students to take part in several inter-collegiate competitions. An annual fest is also an event that lets the students take charge and learn about budgeting and organizing. The library at the college is quite extensive and easily accessible.

Interview Experience :

Janki Devi Bajaj is a management institute situated in Mumbai and like most of the colleges located in Mumbai, the admission is through Common Entrance Test also known as CET.CET is a three-step process. First, an objective or multiple-choice test. Second, Group Discussion and lastly personal interview. There are a number of coaching centers that offer support in preparation for these steps. It's actually quite helpful in getting good scores at the CET

Placement Experience:

You will be getting packages of above 6 LPA easily if you get into this college. In my time, the stated average is 14.5 LPA. But the actual average will be around 13 LPA. It's the best option if you don't want to spend too much money to do your MBA or want to start and MBA and do something else on the side, like cracking a better college, cracking government jobs, entrepreneurship, etc.

The sector-wise offers are 38% BFSI & IB, 21% Consulting, 19% Technology & E-Commerce, 9% FMCG & Pharma, 7% Conglomerates & Mfg, and 6% others. JBIMS attracts various big firms such as McKinsey, PwC, IBM, HUL, Nestle, P&G, Tata Steel, Reliance, Amazon, JPMC, etc to name a few. The Highest package was 34.36 lakhs and the average package stood at 22.84 lakhs for the MMS Batch of 2020. The students are eligible for final campus placements after completing the summer internship which happens after the 2nd semester.
