Abhishek Chopade's Review On Vishwakarma Institute Of Information Technology - [VIIT], Pune

Remarks :

For me this college was the only option left as in all 3 rounds of CET I got this college only. Now, that I am in this college I find it sufficient for me as it's a developing college there are many opportunities students get throughout the year.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, as I said it is a developing college sooo everything here is still developing. Talking about the Curriculum it is mostly similar to Savitribai's University. In my opinion, this strategy is fair enough as it gives a standard to maintain with the university students further the Academics structure is also good, from technical stuff to non-technical all the aspects are well covered. The only thing that lags is student's interest in the same. The faculties are also well educated and ok.

Internships Opportunities :

No, currently I am focusing on building up my skills.

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are NOT that good, as it is a developing college each year number of companies goes on increasing this year 226 companies visited the campus and around 300 were placed with the highest package of 26 lacks.

College Events :

The onlyyy event organized by our college is the great techno-fest GANDHARVA. The whole college awaits for this event in this event from technical to non-technical singing dance all the domains are widely open and all are free to participate. It is really organized on a large scale college from all over Pune are Invited for the event.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yess, as it comes under the governance of the State Government all the scholarships launched by the government are applicable.

Campus Life :

Yes, The facilities are not that good. The WiFi doesn't get connected to any of the mobile devices and the sports equipment's are also need to be manged. The swimming pool which was there is now turned into parking are which is really annoying. Yes the only things properly maintained are the lab equipment's Chemistry as well as Physics.

Hostel Facilities :

No, I stay with my Causing in PG and the monthly rent for our 2BHK flat is 8000 excluding the electricity and wifi bill. The facilities are good enough. the only problem is the distance as my college is approx 2kms from my flat.

Placement Experience:

Due to its small batch size and industry presence, everyone gets placed in the college. During the placement week, more than half of the batch gets placed in good brands with a high CTC. As JBIMS is known for finance, almost 40% of the batch gets placed in the financial domain with the likes of companies such as Bajaj Finserv, Citibank, HSBC, JPM, JPM&C, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra, etc. followed by marketing and operations in companies such as HUL, Nestle, Abbott, MetLife, Reliance Industries, P&G, Colgate, Xiaomi, Airtel, etc. The highest package was 34.36 LPA while the average CTC and mean CTC was 22.84 LPA and 22.00 LPA respectively for the MMS Batch of 2018-2020.

Admission:

The students who have a graduate degree in mass media, arts, science, commerce or any other professional course are eligible to apply. Other than that you need to clear the online entrance exam as prepared by the university. If you clear the exam, an interview will be conducted on Skype or in person. Therefore a merit list will be prepared on the exam score and the percentage in graduation. You will be called for document verification and granted admission.

Placement Experience:

The job areas in my course are advertising companies, media management companies, editing & reporting, corporate communication, film production, public relations etc. Students were offered the roles of media consultant, social media executive, copy editor, media lab assistant, video editor, speech writer and many more. The highest package offered to my batch mate was 11 lpa in the field of communication officer. Internships were mandatory.

Remarks:

The College Management Needs to be improved a lot as because of the management and staff students have faced lot of issue We even haven't got any proper IV or farewell and also in terms of management and staff they should understand the mind of students for some ideas and welcome our students perspectives rather than demotivating. But yes overall its a good college and i am sure in some matters they will improve, not all colleges are proper.
