Remarks :

Because food technology is one of the most emerging field in allover world and lady irwin is the college which was founded by dorothy irwin. Home science was the first course which was introduced and if you see legacy of our college you will get to know that home science was first introduced in lady irwin college in Asia. And food technology is fusion of both domain i. e food as well as technology and I think lady irwin within few years will excel in this field When I joined college NIRF ranking was 12. And lady irwin is also accredited with NAAC A+ AND it is under the ages of DBT STAR COLLEGE.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Its actually very interesting course like we get to learn about food and nutrition what calorie one should take at one point youÕll feel like as if you have become dietician but you are not you really have to work hard but yes in this course you can make your menu plans, we studied about biochemistry., thermal physics as our generic subject those were also very interesting and in last semester we learnt about public health nutrition as subject which was quite interesting.

Internships Opportunities :

It was observatory internship in DELHI MILK SCHEME.

Placement Experience :

In college we dont have much opportunities but one can find job by sources or internship in which they have applied before, our teachers forces us to do internship in summers. Luckily because our HOD we got internship in DMS (DELHI MILK SCHEME).

College Events :

I have not very active in events and all because I more of studios person but my friends are very active in fest and everything and its quite simple. Talking about fest so quintessence is our fest name and itÕs one of the best fest in delhi. 2 years back Ayushman khurana came to our college and the crowd was crazy because it was first time ayushman came to any college of DU.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

To be honest I applied for merit scholarship but havenÕt got any. Only those students get scholarship who are economically weak thatÕs what I have heard but there is no much option for scholarship nowadays.

Campus Life :

Its has vintage feeling that british sort of touch. We have basketball court, canteen, library and fully air conditioned computer labs, our college has indoor parking, there Is so much greenery in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

Our hostel can accomodate 200-250 students, they celebrate all festivals. They have small gathering om every function and hostellers get special food on some occasions otherwise food of hostel is ok not very tasty but that how every hostel food is. I mean ghar ke khaane ki baat hi kuch aur hai yaar.

Hostel Fee : INR 100000 per year

DMS IIT Delhi: From the eye of an insider

Placement Experience:

Final placements start in the month of November. Many MNCs, startups, foreign companies and companies from different sectors visits the campus for summer internships and final placements as well. Placement activities take place in 2 phases. Profiles offered by the companies are at par the positions offered to IIM and other B School graduates. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year. Highest placement goes up to 32 lakhs, the average is 22 lakhs and the median package is 20 lakhs. The figures are almost the same for all the specializations that DMS offers. There are enormous opportunities for students of each specialization. Overall placement scenario at DMS is good.

I was allotted seat in this college after clearing neet examination and I got 80% in my class 12 board examination however if you want to get admitted into this college then I will recommend you that 530 will be the safe marks for getting MBBS here and minimum 50% in class 12th board examination.

The placement and job opportunities after passing from this college is good almost all the student got placed many renowned company in medical line . yes ,our college provide internship for one year.
