Remarks :

One of the best Commerce Colleges in Kerala. Very active campus life. Beautiful lake view ground. Well experienced and qualified teaching faculty. Located in the heart of Kochi. Lots of courses to choose from. Lot of opportunities to participate and get exposure from. Easily one of the best colleges in Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty are well experienced and qualified. Johnson sir(commerce) was really good. We have to complete a compulsory internship during our 3rd year. We also have multiple opportunities to host and participate in many events on many levels.

Internships Opportunities :

I did my internship at a Chartered Accountant firm and there were no stipend.

Placement Experience :

Some of the companies that visit the campus are Deloitte, McKinsey, Federal bank, Axis bank, De Shaw, Sutherland. Around 10 students from my batch were selected by Deloitte, 10 by Sutherland, and a few by McKinsey.

College Events :

The campus life in the college is wonderful and you will surely miss the campus once you complete your course. It has enough places where you can rest, relax, and socialize and this is never going to be a problem. The Lakeview ground is the pride of SH college and you will enjoy sitting there with your friends. The college conducts a lot of fests and programmes that will always make you busy and occupied and will help you get the most out of your campus life. These programmes are conducted throughout the year and are the most fun part of the college. You will get responsibility in coordinating and conducting different activities which makes it even more interesting. The fests are really big and famous and you will get the opportunity to meet with other students from different parts of the state and even different parts of the country. The college motivates and appreciates the students to participate in programmes conducted off-campus so that students get great exposure and they can utilise their talents without any restrictions. Dancers, singers, intellects, sports persons etc. can have a great time because of all these reasons.

Campus Life :

The campus is Wi-fi enabled ( you are not allowed to use the phone on the campus). The campus has a football ground with natural turf which is on the banks of Vembanad backwaters. A good basketball court. A volleyball and handball court. The college also has all the necessary labs including a good computer lab. The library is also good. An additional charge for lab equipment is not usually charged.

Hostel Facilities :

There is a hostel facility for boys and girls. For boys its a single room without an attached bathroom. Food is available from the canteen which is a separate building and has a decent menu. You will have to pay every time you have something. The college canteen is not exclusive to college students. The hostel rent is rs. 3000. You can always shift to any nearby paying guest facility or share a flat with your friends.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

Placement Experience:

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
