Entrance Preview :
I Chosen this college because it is the best performing college in my region.I chosen this college through TNEA (Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions) counselling 2011 and I didn't taken any entrance examinations i went to Chennai to attend TNEA on the date allotted for me at Anna University, Guindy, Chennai. The process is simple first the candidate is called according to their respective time on the allotted day. The candidate needs to get through the verification process and then have to chose their desired college.Like that I chosen this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum was like old fashioned at initial semesters the subjects taught at first and second semester were irrelevant to my course. But after that the remaining semesters the curriculum was good and I learnt many concepts and contents related to my course.
Internships Opportunities :
None of the companies offered internships hence I didn't applied for any internship so I doesn't know about internships and I don't have any experience regarding them.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are not fair about 20% of students only placed in a well reputed companies related to their respective course other were placed in bpo and kpo and most are umemployed.Companies like HGS, Mphasis, Infosys(bpo) etc came to the campus companies offered packages ranging from 1.2 LPA to 2.4 LPA even my college lacks in grabbing the attention of many companies to the campus they get us to many cities to attend off campus interviews and they arrange buses with a staff member to guide us.
College Events :
Events are celebrated throughout the year we celebrate cultural day and sports day events on the month of Feb-Mar in every year other events like Independence day celebrations, Ayudha pooja, Pongal celebrations are also celebrated the workshops and symposiums are also conducted every year by each department on that days other college students are allowed to participate to learn and contest in the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees structure is feasible and acceptable while compared to other colleges we never paid extra amount for anything there is no collection of fine for silly things in my college while most of the colleges do.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I didn't applied for any loans and scholarships hence I doesn't know about the loan and scholarships offered in my college.
Campus Life :
The campus life was a nice joyful experience the extracurricular activities are initially are not well adopted but later management looked into it and they allowed students to participate in sports events such as football, cricket, badminton they allowed us to play and practice daily after 4 PM also we conduct workshops and technical events every year and many students from other colleges participate. The labs are also good and we are provided internet connectivity all the time which helped many rural students to learn.At my college male and female are equally treated and there is no discrimination.Also the gender is nearly equal.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities were poor.The hostel infrastructure was poor and it is left unpainted three persons shares a hostel room but room lacks in all sorts of facilities the mess food never met the quality for the paid money they always cook the same dishes everyday and no varieties osverall hostel and mess ranks below average.
Alumni/Alumna :
Being a new college which was inaugurated on 2008 alumni network is still under expansion.In the year of 2014 management started the alumni network and held the first get together. Then we had smooth experience with the senior students and we never encountered any confrontation between them. They always were a good friend and guide for us.And also there was no ragging in my college.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure was good required holidays are always provided for us before the exams to prepare for it we are always chilled out on labs because lab facilities are very good at my college and on exam days also we never felt irritated because they never let us to feel like that my college was best in the academics.
Faculty :
The faculty was average in my college many of the faculty doesn't know about the subjects what they are teaching and they even unaware of the things that a student knew but few managed to teach well and they excel in their teaching.
