Student's Review On Shikshapeeth College Of Management And Technology - [SCMT], New Delhi

Remarks :

There were campus placements for internships. Internships are hard to find and the college had the opportunity for campus placement internships starting just from the end of the first year. This was my main purpose to have joined the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculties are good, they're experienced but they were not regular throughout the three year program, as someof the faculty had left or change in faculty for a particular year. Academics was strong as there wes proper study going throughout the year.

Internships Opportunities :

I did two internships while in college, my stipend was around 7,000 per month. First i started with a startup Addabooking and then i joined Rera Filing in third year. My profiles were Business Development and Management Trainee respectively.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is really good. Especially the opportunity to start the internship from second year onwards with your academics by the side really pushes you to do more. The final placements were also satisfying. They also help the students who are not able to clear the placement interviews repeatedly.

College Events :

The campus life was pretty good. There is a lack of that big campus feel, nonetheless, the events and activities or events that were conducted on different grounds, they have been quite enjoyable. There was no shortage on making such events any shorter or anything absurd that the management would have done to make it seem smaller. Extra curricular activities, from annual fest to farewells were always celebrated well.

Campus Life :

The campus is very small, it's mainly just a multi storey building and most of the events and activities that were conducted were always outside the college. Although, the locations of those events have been really suitable.

Hostel Facilities :

There are no hostel facility available with the college. Mainly you'll have to come by your own and rent a PG, which there are quite a few near the college itself. You'll have to travel by your own to come to the college.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement in my college is pretty average as only some people get selected while companies come to recruit student who are in their final year. The average package offered to the students in here is around 4,00,000 to 5,00,000 and the highest package anyone has got is about 10,00,000. Meanwhile some people do not go for the campus recruitment as they want to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.
