Remarks
•Because I wanted to pursue engineering in my own home town. •the good thing is staff and teachers are chill & gives assistance at the time of admissions but when we seek for help after first year in terms of career, exams or skills enhancement, they don't give a damn • the admission process was via mp online through 3 stages 1) registration 2) verification 3) seat allotment • there are only 2 engineering colleges in RATLAM and its better than the other one • hone used, made my independent choice of selection
Course Curriculum Overview
• because I loved studying mechanics and motion in physics so I took the Mechanical branch. I didn't thought about other aspects at that time. • average. Because the students are low so faculties are low too. And specifically this makes the ratio acceptable • utterly non-professional in selection of faculties. The faculties don't have necessary qualifications and also the skills to teach. Seems like they themselves haven't cleared their concepts. The teaching method is merely the rot learning. Even the engineering mathematics and engineering graphics were taught in same way. • term exams were regular but it was sheer formality. Well the difficulty level was zero, because the questions were the same which they taught. Didn't even made the change in numerical values just like the University exams. Copy & paste the past year questions.
Placement Experience
• final year students were capable to seat in the campus placements. • two local companies visited. One was Mahindra service outlet looking for sales executive and maintenance technician and other was some small mobile cover manufacturing plant. • no package as such. Monthly salaries around 8-10 thousand per month was offered and I rejected the offer due to low salary. • that's nasty . Cause only 1 students among 100 got placed in a good company and that too on his own. If we look for college then around 4-5 % people got the job which was offered . • well i'm working on my own and have a started a coaching center of my own in Ratlam
Fees and Financial Aid
• there was no fee hike through out the course.it was fixed for the entire course in all 4 years which was 45,600 RS. they used to charge late fees when a student's fails to submit tuition fees after the two months of commencement of semester. The annual fee was divided in 2 parts for each semester. And if one wants to pay at a single time, they can but no fee reduction was offered for a single time payment too. • Merit cum means scholarship for minority students. That is the scholarship I got because I was minority student. Annually I got 25k as assistance and it helped a lot to me. That's a plus point for college. They provide assistance in selection of scholarship scheme best for you. But it completely depends on your luck whether you get it or not. If you don't get then you have to pay from your own pocket. Amongst 8 minority students of our batch only two got the scholarship from Central government while the rest had to pay the entire amount of fees on their own. •no job
Campus Life
•kshitij was the annual fest and it was held in the month of Feb or March. It was a combination of both technical & cultural fests. I was a nerd so I didn't really enjoy it but yeah anyone else can and can meet other students from other branches as well as other courses such as b.sc and b.b.a. •2 books were issued at a single time. And a student can hold maximum of 5 college books. And he has to reissue it in every 15 days, otherwise the late fees will be charged accordingly. • fans, lights, teachers desk, platform for lecture, students chairs and desks ( individual). • annual sports events were organised but it was included in kshitij too. Kshitij was of around 3-4 days. • there were no social groups or clubs.this concept of socializing hasn't reached in the college's of small towns like us.
