Student's Review On Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College For Women - [MLACW], Bangalore

Remarks :

The college is for women only therefore it played a part in my decision to apply to this college. The distance from my place of residence to college and the ease of transportation helped build my decision. It was also the opinion of a graduate of the same college that I was making the right choice by joining this institute.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Everything about the college was in poor taste. There was little to no industry exposure. The course material was regularly updated yet the emphasis was always on theory and not practicality. There was always something that required taking the money from the students. The college is lacking in having an online presence. The teachers ( most of them) are diligent and hard working.

Placement Experience :

Not so good. Few options. Few impressive companies were invited yet not many were placed. The college does a fair job of providing the students with the opportunity to secure placement in said companies.

College Events :

in terms of extracurricular activities, the college held many events, competitions, and cultural fests that showcased the best of students abilities and provided the opportunity for putting the theory of academics to test.

Campus Life :

There is a gym with sufficient equipment that requires a bit more attention in terms of repairs. Most sports equipment are available. The library has unusual gems hidden if one is persistent enough( Library is well stocked).

Hostel Facilities :

The college has no hostel facilities as of yet. There is plenty of pg's around the college premise as the area is very affluent and culturally diverse. Many students live in the near vicinity of the college hence the reason for opting this institute.

Placement Experience:

Placements are around 90 percent in the Computer Science course with average package of 600000 and highest package of 5100000 till date. A great number of companies visit the college for hiring making it a great opportunity to the students to showcase their capabilities to the recruiters. My plans are to pursue civil services and serve the country as soon as I complete my degree.

Remarks:

Ranked 14 for BBA by India Today. I was impressed with the curriculum and infrastructure so opted to apply for BBA, I visited the official website and entered the basic details like email-ID and mobile number to register. Admission to this course is subject to a valid score in JET on fulfilment of the set minimum eligibility criteria. The best thing about the course is the exposure you get. I chose this course to explore the business field. Something that made it better by making the course more practical than theoretical.

Placement Experience:

Roles offered here are a sales manager, marketing head and human resource manager in different companies. About 97% of the students were placed from here. The average salary package offered to students is 12 lpa . Companies like Dell, HP, Deloitte and other companies visit here for placements. The university has been a consistent topper for several years on the list of campus placement record among the top private institutions in India. Jain University, Bangalore conducts various training programs for the successful placement of students.

Placement Experience:

From 5th-semester placement opportunities starts , but they will start the training from 4th semester itseems. We will be having companies like Wipro, ICICI Bank, basically most of the IT sector companies. I think almost 75% to 90% use to get placed in campus placement. Rest they might be trying for higher studies. I myself planning to do my master's in the same college because that much I love my college

Placement Experience:

The students in our college are eligible in the second year only as the training programs provided help us in an unexplainable way. There are high percentages of getting placements to every student. Getting a placement and starting immediately. And I’m planning for my master degree too

Through the common entrance test conducted after pre-University board for all students aspiring for medical and engineering students, later rankings are announced based on marks secured and applying for colleges starts from cet board and seats are confirmed and admissions are opened at that college.
