Entrance Preview :
I had appeared in AIEEE exam and scored 96 marks and I opted for GNIT because that was the best option available to me with AIR I had and the department I want to get enrolled to.
Internships Opportunities :
There was no college internship scheme in our college. Students had to search out for small scale companies themselves for internships and even had to pay a good amount for the 1-2 months internship.
Placement Experience :
ITC Infotech, TCS , Tech Mahindra and a few such companies came and took only a handful of people, that too in university pool campus placement drives. The general package offered was around 3 LPA. Overall not even 5 % of the students were placed.
College Events :
There were no tech fests held in our college. A carnival was held on the foundation day which saw sports events and free food festival ,and an annual fest which saw cultural events comprising of in house performances as well as guest celebrities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure was feasible when I took admission but recently it got expensive. In our time it was 40000 per semester for tuition fees and 18000 per semester for hostel and canteen fees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No there were no scholarships available from our college. But they allowed students the opportunity to take education loans from AXIS BANK as they were our college's bank partner.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni seldom visited the college. If they ever came they only came to take their degree certificates and caution deposit. I never saw alumni meet organised. Interactions with seniors was smooth.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure was very chilled out. It was never a hectic day with exams/labs/lectures. Plus the college offered leniency to some extent.
Faculty :
Faculty for the first year was fine. Relatively better teachers were there t teach base subjects like physics and chemistry and maths. But departmental subjects were taught by below par faculty.
