Remarks :
It was definitely one of the better judgements of my life to join IILM University after my graduation. Though it is not among the very well known universities for humanities, the dedication they have for career enhancement and professionalism is promising and rewarding.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum has been thoroughly designed and covers all the major areas of mainstream and applied psychology. There are seven papers in the first three semesters, including a compulsory summer internship in the first semester, and six papers in the last semester. The assessment is written test and assignments and dissertations.
Placement Experience :
The CDC is responsible for all the placements and mock sessions and interviews. There are a maximum of three placement offers per student, and there are many mock interviews, Live Programs, Summer Internship Project, consulting and dissertation to help prepare for the placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is high, and it is justified. I paid about three lacs per year for the two year course, excluding the hostel and lodging fees, and I knew that it was value for money, with the placements.
Campus Life :
The university insists on participating in various extracurricular activities and events, and has many clubs, like the literary club, the dramatics club, debating society. It has a student exchange program with about 52 national and international universities, and is naturally diverse and inviting. There is a fully functioning well-stocked library, recreational centers, gymnasium, IT center and sports area.
Admission :
First I had to apply online, and fill in all the details, which also included my participation in extracurricular activities (which is a major judgment criteria) and a statement of purpose, which mostly determines whether or not I am deserving of the application. I then appeared for an interview, and the admission was finalized.
Faculty :
The college has a well-qualified and illustrious faculty, some of our teachers were industrial experts, and most of them were practicing psychologists, counselors and therapists. Their practical knowledge and passion was inspiring, and the use of the latest case studies, presentations, techniques, tests, and modelling was very helpful.
