Entrance Preview :

Entrance- MHT-CET'09, Score- 175/200. Reason- I heard about this college from my seniors and teachers. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious technical education intitutes in India. So when I got a chance to get into this college, there was no second thought and I took admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As this is an autonomous institute, they decide their syllqbus and exam system. We went through a continuous evaluation every year, every semester. Also, every even semester(4th, 6th and 8th), we had to take electives(subjects offered by other branches). I studied one of the metallurgy elective in 3rd semester, in 5th semester I studied ERP from production and 8th semester I studied bioinformatics.

Internships Opportunities :

I did not work as an intern at tge end of third year, as it is not mandatory. Some of my friends worked at EATON. They were offered Rs.8000 per month as stipend. Some of them also got pre-placement opportunity from the same company.

Placement Experience :

There is almost 100% placement each year. Most of the compnies are MNCs. Tcs, Cognizant, wipro, infosys, symantec, barclays, citibank, credit suisse, mind tree, tata techonogies, eq technologies, oracle, tata motors, general motors, force motors, commins are some of the recruiters. Packages and posts offered are also good. I had got an offer from MindTree of 5 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The government provided freeship and scolarship systems are in place. There are also leela poonawala scolaships provided to girls. Book bank system is provided for students. I have always seen my institution helping financially week students to complete their education.

Campus Life :

There are various groups, clubs for different activies, they organise competitions, events and keep the campus alive. Debate competitions are organised by debate club, members participate in the outside competitions every year. Robotics group is a very large group. They work really hard and make the college proud throught different competitions. Labs are of really good quality and there is quality check maintained by the institution.

Exam Structure :

There is an continuous evaluation process. There are written as well as practical exams and viva. Each semester can have 4 to 5 exams for each subject.

Faculty :

Dr. Anil Sahasrabuddhe was our director. He is a very intelligent and happy go lucky kind of person. All other faculty(Vandana Inamdar-Project Guide, Sudhir Agashe- Academics Dean, Kumbhar, etc) were always on their toes and helpful.

Placement Experience:

We have wonderful placement opportunists. We had an excellent placement officer for the coordination of placement activities. A lot of companies come and recruit students across all sectors. Pre-placement training is conducted which are helpful. Companies visited-Ace Micromatic, ESDS Software Solution Pvt. Ltd., Epam, ValueLabs, sender, Hexaware Technologies, SABA, Syntel, TCS, Amazon etc. My plans after degree- if I get the good package at the time of placement then I will go with the job. If I don't get a good package then I will do MS outside India.

Remarks:

College is quite nice but it should have been bigger than present. The college ground os quite small and have only basket ball and table tennis court but there should be one big ground where students can jog and play cricket, football etc.

If you want a chill life don't think of this college at all.But if you want placements n all then this is the right place but you have to study all of the time here and do numerous assignments on time .I suggest you not to take admission in this college. This is very strict college. You have to wear identity card to enter the college.

Remarks:

College management should help students in participating events like BAJA, supra, Firodiya etc more than they do now. Students are interested in things to do but lack of college management interest and support to them. Support students they will bring college further up.
