Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is very good and effective. All major topics related to bio technology are covered in the curriculum. The practical sessions are very important as we get to know more about the subjects. Exams are conducted yearly by the university.

Placement Experience :

The job fairs are conducted every year by the placement committee. They organise the campus interviews by inviting top companies in the field of agriculture and food industry. Many companies participate in the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The course fees is very much low and is feasible. The course fees per year is 70,000. Hostel facility is available and we have to pay the hostel deposit during admission. Any security deposits for library and lab should be paid during admission.

Campus Life :

The college organises many cultural events and festival celebrations. Many colleges across Tamilnadu participate in the sports competition which are organised by the college. Seminars and speeches by industry specialists are conducted frequently.

Admission :

All students who have completed plus 2 are eligible to apply for the course. The application form can be downloaded or we can buy it from the college. All the certificates are to be submitted for verification. The counseling is done after this.

Faculty :

The professors are good and supportive. They have very good experience in the field of agriculture. The even spend more hours after the class to clear all our doubts. They also provide many project works for making us understand the subjects.

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
