Remarks :

All in all, our college is one of the best institutes for footwear design and manufacturing. It? the best option for alternate education. My life has truly changed after coming to this college. I was not sure when I had joined a year back, but now I am a confident person who has confidence in her designs and her profession. All of this has been possible because of FDDI.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Bachelor? Degree is a 4 year course (8 semesters). It is a highly comprehensive course, which lays great emphasis on conceptualization and various aspects of design, manufacturing technology and management. The course also focuses on keeping a tab on the latest industry trends. In the third year, the students are given two options for specialization. The two options are ?eather Footwear or Non Leather Footwear? Accordingly the students are then placed based on the specialization they opt for.

Placement Experience :

Our college has tie ups with all the leading corporations in industry. Our college focuses on creativity, innovation and leadership. We have a track record of 100% placement. Some of our seniors are placed in Bata, Titan, Tommy Hilfiger, Flipkart, Hidesign, Decathlon and Carlton London. Many of our seniors have also interned with some of these leading companies. Even our batch has got some of the good options for internships.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

At the time of counselling, you need o pay a sum of 25,000/- to reserve the seat. Here are eight semesters and you need to pay the fee semester wise. For each semester a total sum of 1 lakh approx has to be paid. Though the fee might vary in all semesters, but an approximate sum of 1 lakh has to be paid including the security deposit.

Campus Life :

There are many co curricular activities in the college. The sports club of the college is an active one. A lot of fests are also organized by the college students. Life at this college is super fun.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel has a capacity of 200 girls and 350 boys. The hostel fee is Rs 18,000/- per semester excluding the mess fee. A refundable security of 5000/- has to be paid for the hostel. Mess is compulsory for all the hostelers.

Admission :

I am a Bachelor student of FDDI Chennai and this is the best institute to get into footwear design industry. The eligibility is 10+2/intermediate course. The age criterion is 25 years max. For admission you need to log into www.fddi.com and need to pay 500/- for the registration, you?l get your e-hall ticket from the website. A paper based entrance exam would be conducted (conducted in 31 cities), results of which is displayed on the website itself. The schedule of counselling is also uploaded on the website.

Faculty :

The faculty is extremely talented. The faculty has young enthusiasm and an alluring experience. Since most of our course is a practical course, the faculty relentlessly helps the students and solve all our queries.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Be detailed, specific and honest

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are not as good as you expect from a B-School. The highest salary package offered to be 20 LPA, and most of us are to console with a salary package ranging from 6 to 7 LPA. However, almost 95% of the students got placed, but it was noticed that some of them got salary packages ranging from 4 to 5 LPA, and even some got lower than that.

I got admission in this college through counseling which is the regular annual engineering counseling conducted by the anna university which is the common organization for all engineering organizations among the state. The counseling is purely based upon the cutoff marks scored by the students. I got admission in 07. 07. 2016. I chose this college because of the suggestion given by the neighbors. On before that, i've chosen engineering because i didn't got enough score for medical course.
