Remarks :

All I could say is good about the college. Since there has been no time when there was anything bad which I could quote.I would just say it is one of the best place to get your studies done and excel in your respective domains.

Entrance Preview :

I gave the AIEEE exam in 2011, scored a good rank. I opted for this particular college as it was located in the Shimla hills. What more one needs to study, all green and peace.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course was an over all development for any student. Be it the technical side or may it be the soft skills. All was on the top which one can just dream off.

Internships Opportunities :

Loads and loads of companies visit our campus, even now they continue to come. To name some: Microsoft, Accenture, TCS, Reliance, RBS, Tommy Hilfiger, Buzzooka Infomedia Pvt Ltd, Enbake, Mansa Infotech. My personal internship was good, with a stipend of 3K per month. It was learning with fun. I got a chance to do my internship at Bristlecone, a Mahindra group company.

Placement Experience :

Though every college just to get intake for next session, tries to highlight the maximum placements. But our college never did anything fake to misguide the future of students. We had a overall placements of 92%, rest were left over due to their backlogs or unwillingness to relocate.

College Events :

A hell lot of events, may it be technical, cultural. The best events used to be the founders day and the annual function. Both were celebrated separately, one in each semester respectively, thus not making any of the session boring. Instead fun filled.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure was comparable to any college. It used to be around 60K per semester and one Lakh Ten Thousand per year. But the type of facilities provided, this fee could be said to be low.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our group of colleges provide scholarships to the meritorious students as well as the students who are in need of same. Like a child without parents could avail a scholarship of 100%, a single girl child or any child without his father could avail a scholarship of 50%.

Campus Life :

Our class used to have 1:1 ratio of boys:girls. A total of 60 students consisting of 30 girls and 30 boys.I would consider this to be a good gender ratio in today's time.Regular student enhancement programs were run by the college in which anyone can participate to just engabce him/herself and get a totally new person out of yourself.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels of the college were build in the campus and also keeping in mind that students from various places will be coming.I still remember, it used to have around 40 rooms in buffer in case of any requirement. 40 rooms comes out to accommodate not less than 120 students in each boys and girls wing. A total of 240 students. The food provided in the mess was quite simple and comparable to the home food. Food on demand was also an option. The fee for hostel and mess per semester was around 50K.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our seniors were quite cooperative, specially our immediate seniors with whom we generally had discussions about what and how the things should be done. We all are now on the alumni network and keep getting updates about our batch mates and other related ones.

Exam Structure :

It used to be chilled out one. I earlier too mentioned. It was learning with fun. All the practicals held in the labs were quite interesting and gave a lot of knowledge about the theory which is printed in the text books.

Faculty :

Most of the faculty of Bahra university had great experiences, which they were very happy to share further with us, the students. Studied in great recognized universities, IITs and some having masters from abroad. Hence having such a diverse faculty gives us lot of knowledge.

The percentage of students placed is normally 80 to 90percents overall. And I also intend to get a decent package after my degree

Remarks:

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focusing on the overall development process.
